San Diego Padres starter Joey Lucchesi pitched well in a no-decision Wednesday against the Washington Nationals. Lucchesi got the early hook after throwing just 69 pitches but manager Andy Green opted to yank him after he let two men on with no outs in the sixth inning. Lucchesi completed five innings, surrendering an earned run, six hits and a walk while fanning six. He's been the Padres best pitcher and holds a tidy 2.98 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 9.78 K/9. The primary issue with Lucchesi is he's only finished six innings twice in eight starts but the Padres are probably playing it safe with the rookie. Lucchesi is scheduled to take the bump next Monday against the Colorado Rockies and merits roster consideration in most fantasy leagues.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
