San Diego Padres rookie starter Eric Lauer picked up his first major league victory Sunday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Lauer allowed no runs, scattering seven hits, walking one and fanning five batters in six innings of strong work. After getting shellacked in his debut April 24 and surrendering three earned runs in the first inning of his second start, Lauer has fired ten scoreless frames, lowering his ERA to 5.79 and WHIP to 1.93. With the Padres starting rotation scuffling, Lauer has likely earned more starts after Sunday's outing. The Friars No. 12 prospect holds a 9.6 K/9 and is virtually unowned in fantasy leagues (1%). He could be a useful streamer at Petco Park and against weaker offenses. His next opportunity comes at home against the St. Louis Cardinals.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
