DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (8/27/16): MLB DFS Advice

A full day of baseball action kicks off today with some early afternoon games that will lead into the evening slate. DraftKings is offering several different contests that use different combinations of the games.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/27/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings. The following targets have been selected for all day contests on DraftKings.

Editor's Note: Purchase a full season NFL Premium Pass (including Draft Kit + DFS Premium), and also get MLB Premium + DFS for free through October. Premium DFS lineup picks, expert lineups, tools and more - seven days a week. You can see screenshots of our NFL Premium and MLB Premium and DFS tools. What are you waiting for?

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

San Francisco Giants vs. Mike Foltynewicz (RHP)

The Giants are in a good spot today, as opposing starter Mike Foltynewicz has lost his last two starts and allowed four runs in six innings his last time out. Although Foltynewicz defeated San Francisco, the Giants are still worth a stack. Current San Francisco hitters have a combined .281 average against him, and in particular, Buster Posey, Brandon Belt, and Brandon Crawford have all had good success versus the right-hander.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Zack Godley (RHP)

Godley was torched for seven runs in just five innings against Atlanta his last time out and will match up with a team he struggled with earlier. Although Godley picked up a win against the Reds on July 24, they put up five runs on 10 hits. With an overall average of .400 against him, the Reds make for an excellent stacking option.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Jameson Taillon, PIT at MIL - $9,900

Taillon has looked strong in his rookie campaign, posting a record of 3-3 with a 2.92 ERA. He took a tough loss in his last outing but still has an ERA of just 1.93 in August. A favorable matchup with Milwaukee awaits him today. In two starts against the Brewers this he's allowed just three runs in 12 innings. Unfortunately, he's 0-1 against them, but current Milwaukee hitters are hitting just .250 when he's on the mound.

Noah Syndergaard, NYM vs. PHI - $12,300

Thor has struggled at times this year, posting a record of 11-7. However, his ERA has remained impressive, currently sitting at 2.61. He enters today's game with wins in each of his last two starts. He hasn't faced off against Philadelphia since April 18, a game in which he won by allowing just one run in seven innings while striking out eight. Current Phillies hitters have a lifetime average of .176, so feel good about rolling with Suyndergaard.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Buster Posey, SF vs. ATL - $3,500

As mentioned above, several Giants are good for a lineup stack today. Posey, who's 2-for-6 overall against opposing starter Mike Foltynewicz, has two home runs and four RBI versus the righty. Posey hasn't really put up many impressive numbers this year, but he's on a five-game hit streak and  batting .329 in August.

First Base (1B)

C.J. Cron, LAA at DET - $

A value pick for larger tournaments, Cron should provide a low ownership number and add to his value. With an average of nearly seven points a game and an increased contact rate over the last week he makes for an excellent sleeper selection. He's 1-for-3 lifetime against opposing starter Michael Fulmer and is batting .280 off of righties this season.

Second Base (2B)

Greg Garcia, STL vs. OAK - $3,300

Garcia should get the start for the Cardinals tonight with a right-hander on the mound. If he does, then feel confident in saving cap space with his selection. Garcia has been hot lately with a three-game hit streak and a .455 average over the last seven days. From a fantasy perspective, Garcia has recorded at least eight fantasy points in three of his last four games. He's currently eligible at either shortstop or second base, so that gives you some flexibility if using him in a daily lineup.

Shortstop (SS)

Marcus Semien, OAK at STL - $3,200

Semien often gets overlooked, probably because he's hittng just .240. Still, with an average of seven fantasy points a game, he's been very useful to owners at times this season. He's registered at least 11 fantasy points twice in the last four games, making him a sleeper to look out for today.

Third Base (3B)

Jedd Gyorko, STL vs. OAK - $4,300

Gyorko now carries a high price tag, but he's been one of the hottest hitters in the league since the All-Star break, with 15 home runs since then. He went yard again Friday night and enters today with a three-game hit streak and homers in back-to-back games. A lot of fantasy players will have the same idea, but you definitely have to ride the hot hand for as long as it lasts.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Jayson Werth, WAS vs. COL - $4,400

Werth has a great history off of opposing starter Jorge De La Rosa. He's 7-for-19 with a .368 average and two home runs against the southpaw. Werth has been very effective against left-handed pitching this season, putting u pan average of .356 and seven home runs. He's averaging -nearly eight fantasy points a game and can be a very solid selection for daily lineups.

Nori Aoki, SEA at CWS- $3,000

Aoki is a great target today for tournaments with a large number of participants. He will easily be overlooked by most people thanks to his season batting average of .266. However, he's been a sneaky source of fantasy points, as he's averaging almost six points a game. His very low price makes it easier to afford osme of the higher priced guys previously mentioned as targets today.

Teoscar Hernandez, HOU vs. TB - $2,500

This one is definitely a deep sleeper choice, but if you follow today's targets you'll need his low price tag to fit in your lineup. The 23-year-old has been playing very good lately and has raised his contact rate nearly 12 percent in the last week. Not surprisingly, he's hitting over .300 in the last week. An average of eight fantasy points a game for a price under $3,000 is unheard of, so take advantage while you can.
