NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks - FanDuel DFS Basketball Advice for 2/7/16

By Keith Allison [CC-BY-SA-2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Sam Nedimyer highlights the top NBA DFS lineup picks for 2/7/16, as well as a couple of sleepers to keep in mind while building your roster on FanDuel.

Evidently there is some sort of football game being played later in the day, so Sunday’s NBA four-game slate starts at 1pm EST. That’s 10am on the left coast. Mimosas and basketball sound really nice. In all honesty, please be safe and responsible in all your Superbowl party-ing and travels for the day.

In this article, I will be providing you with Daily NBA picks for DraftKings for 2/7/16. The picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays. Be sure to check out my podcast every Monday and Thursday right here at Rotoballer for all your DFS needs.

FanDuel DFS Point Guards

Isaiah Thomas (vs SAC, $7,800)

Look at it this way. The field is going to invest heavily in Thomas. I imagine somewhere in the 65-75% range. That’s just how good this matchup is. So even if you roster Thomas and he lays a dud- something that is not likely to happen- then it still won’t hurt as much as say, giving a roster spot to Rajon Rondo against the number one point guard defense.

Emmanuel Mudiay (at NY, $5,400)

Despite continuing to turn the ball over like, well, a rookie point guard, Mudiay has put up some strong performances as of late. His minutes have been reaching into the low to mid-30s, and he has shown he is quite capable of draining buckets and dishing out dimes. Hopefully the Nuggets keep the rookie on the court because, he should make Jose Calderon look like the New Orleans Saints secondary. If you don’t watch football, that means he is going to get burned on the reg.

FanDuel DFS Shooting Guards

Victor Oladipo (vs ATL, $6,500)

Oladipo was on a fantastic run in two straight games last week before it all came crashing down against the Clippers. The shooting/point guard dropped a total of 94.5 FanDuel points in two straight games before drawing a lot of defense from Chris Paul on Friday night. Still, the guy saw 36 minutes of playing time, indicating that Orlando is intent on playing despite the Magic headed towards the Toilet Bowl. Look for a nice bounce back against the Hawks.

Avery Bradley (vs SAC, $5,500)

This Sacramento-Boston game looks juicy. It features two teams that play really fast, should have the highest projected point total of the game, and Marco Belinelli on defense! He owns a 112 DRating and if you attempt to quantify that on a scientific scale, that means that he couldn’t even guard Peyton Manning off the dribble. Go get ‘em, Avery.

FanDuel DFS Small Forwards

Kent Bazemore (at ORL, $5,100)

Do you trust Bazemore? Me neither. But he makes a lot of sense on Superbowl Sunday. There are question marks abound at the swing position and though Bazemore is not without his, he does make sense against Orlando. The Magic have given up over 43 FanDuel points per game over their last five to opposing small forwards, third-most in The Association. Bazemore is coming off a nice game in which he recorded 15 points, one board, eight dimes and three steals, and he is typically a guy that likes to play in spurts.

Omri Casspi (at BOS, $5,100)

A Casspi roster makes sense only if there is confirmation that Rudy Gay will sit again. It also makes a lot of sense if Ben McLemore sits as well. That’s a lot of minutes, shots, rebounds and usage rate that needs to be picked up.

FanDuel DFS Power Forwards

Paul Millsap (at ORL, $7,800)

Another guy that figures to be heavily owned mainly because there are really not a whole lot of great options, Millsap has been rather erratic since the start of the second half of the NBA season. He is still scoring his fair share for the Hawks, but what’s up with the rebounds, bro? Millsap is averaging over 8.5 rebounds per game on the year, but has only grabbed double-digit boards twice in his last seven games. Still, Orlando’s is a frontcourt you can pick on, so he is still a cash safe play.

Kristaps Porzingis (vs DEN, $6,400)

After dudding up for most of the last two weeks, Porzin-God came back with authority with a nice 17 point, 10 rebound performance against the Grizzlies. Word out of New York is that Melo will most likely play, which may jerk Porzingis’ ownership numbers around. It’s a no-brainer that Porzingis should get the start if Melo does not dress, but you can make the case that he is still a great play against Kenneth Faried if Anthony does play.

FanDuel DFS Centers

DeMarcus Cousins (at BOS, $11,100)

Did you expect anyone else? Look, you didn’t really pay up at other spots so why not spend your fake cheese on the big hoss. Who is going to slow him down?
