FanDuel DFS Lineup Picks, Sleepers, and Advice for 6/10/15: Buying Tyson Ross and the Reds

What's up everybody. Another full slate of games with four early games for those looking to join extra leagues.

Wednesday, June 10th's set of starters feature one premium pick (Matt Harvey - $11,000) and a set of solid mid-range buys. Yesterday paid out well, so let's try and continue that momentum. If you ever want to play a H2H give me a shout. Let's get to it!

Editor's Note: If you play on FanDuel, you should also check out RotoBaller’s DFS Partner DraftKings - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's FREE to enter and pays out $50,000 in cash prizes! Sign up Now and we'll give you free access to RotoBaller's Premium DFS Lineup Picks and Tools (a $29.99 monthly value). You'll also get a 100% bonus on your first deposit.

Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

As stated above, there's a solid set of pitchers to choose from, but here are my favorites (aside from Harvey) for high, medium, and low options:

Tyson Ross (SD, SP) - $9,200

Ross continues to have trouble limiting baserunners, but that doesn't matter in FanDuel. He has a 3.21 ERA and a 8.79 K/9 rate since May 4th and stands a good chance for a win vs Williams Perez. Vegas only has the game at -110, but I expect that to climb before gametime.

Jesse Hahn (OAK, SP) - $7,700

Hahn is another pitcher getting in a groove. He's posted a 2.36 ERA since May 15th and only has issued three walks in his last 22 innings. Hahn also carries a 2.84 ERA at home, and while the lefty matchups are concerning, his price tag makes him an appealing play

Kyle Gibson (MIN, SP) - $6,500

I wrote about Gibson in my week 9 writeup, in which I expressed concern about him being trusted with his inconsistent K rates. He was roughed up in his last outing vs the Brew Crew. However, the five runs were all scored on three homers in the first three innings, and he did record nine strikeouts. I'm willing to give him a pass at this price if you want to stack on offense. He has a lifetime 2.03 ERA vs KC, and I wouldn't be shocked if he pulled out the W (-105 favorite) vs a shaky Volquez.

Offenses to Target for FanDuel Stacking

Cincinnati Reds

The Reds trampled the Phillies last night in a 11-2 romp, including three HRs from Votto and a HR from both Cozart and Todd Frazier. Their opponent today, Jerome Williams, has struggled lately to the tune of a 6.81 ERA in his last eight starts. Surprisingly the prices have not reflected the Reds surge (27 runs last three games), so it's still a good time to buy Cincinnati players, including Joey Votto ($4,000), Zack Cozart ($2,700), and Brayan Pena ($2,200). If you go cheap on pitcher, a Votto/Frazier combo is enticing.

Baltimore Orioles

The Orioles have been somewhat up and down as of late, with last night seeing the team score one run and record one extra base hit. It turned out to be enough for a win, but I think today makes a good opportunity to buy Orioles on the cheap in a favorable matchup. Rick Porcello pitched well his last outing, but he has a 5.21 ERA in 11 career outing versus Baltimore. Multiple players have strong numbers in at least 15 at bats, including Manny Machado ($3,300 ), Adam Jones ($3,400 ), Matt Wieters ($3,100), Chris Davis ($3,100), and J.J. Hardy ($2,200). Plan accordingly.

Honorable Mentions: Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago Cubs

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Matt Wieters (BAL, C) - $3,100

Wieters has been a great jolt of offense for Baltimore since returning from the DL, batting .417 (11-27) with a HR and 3 RBI. I expect his success to continue considering his stats vs Porcello (4-for-11).

Yan Gomes (CLE, C) - $2,220

I prefer to pay nothing for a catcher and just lean towards the higher ceiling. We know Gomes has the power and is riding a 5-game hitting streak with 2 HR last night. He's a strong value play.

Joey Votto (CIN, 1B) - $4,000

Votto did OK last night. I anticipate Williams to pitch around Votto when possible, so Votto should be in run scoring opportunities aplenty this afternoon. In addition, 11 of Votto's 13 HR have been vs RHP. The only downside here is many people in your leagues will be thinking the same thing, so I'd limit his usage to tourneys instead of 50/50s.

Yonder Alonso (SD, 1B) - $3,100

It was a shame to see Alonso go down after a hot start, but it looks that he may be picking up where he left off; he's now recorded multi-hit games in three of the past four games. Personally I'd ante up for a pricier 1B, but I like Alonso if you're short on funds.

Jose Altuve (HOU, 2B) - $3,600

Altuve doesn't have strong career numbers vs Quintana, but he still carries a .394/.457/.507 line vs LHP and isn't at his usual $4,000 range. I expect ownership to be down on Altuve today as players focus on the Coors hitters (Wong/DJ), making him a good play in tourneys.

Robinson Cano (SEA, 2B) - $2,300

Cano might as well be a house in 2008 at this point. He did have two doubles last night and is a career .331 hitter vs Cleveland, so he makes a good play if you're looking to save at 2B. Another value play is Cory Spangenburg ($2,300) assuming he starts.

Maikel Franco (PHI, 3B) - $3,100

Franco now owns an eight-game hitting streak with multi-hit games in four of the past five games. I don't expect him to slow down anytime soon, and the price is still fair.

Mike Moustakas (KC, 3B) - $2,400

I'm not sure what Moose has to do at this point to see his price go up, but I'm not complaining. He's hitting .356 on the road this year and is 5-13 vs Kyle Gibson in his career.

Carlos Correa (HOU, SS) - $2,700

Talk about a hot start. He collected his first combo (HR/SB) and was truly the only offense for the Astros last night. FanDuel severely undervalued him at $2,200, but he's still a good play at this price. I'm rolling with the hot hand.

Xander Bogaerts (BOS, SS ) - $2,600

Bogaerts is hitting .440 over his last seven games and has a HR versus Chen in his career. Another value play at SS.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Jose Bautista (TOR, OF) - $5,400

Bautista is going to cost a pretty penny, but he's just been too good to pass up. The #1 player in fantasy over the past week, Bautista loves hitting at home (.590 SLG) and in day games (.652). If you go cheap at SP, I like JoeyBats today.

Jay Bruce (CIN, OF) - $3,100

Bruce got a little gung-ho after his first AB and was tossed last night. I'm expecting a bounce back today. He's slugging .543 with 6 HR in day games. His AVG has been putrid versus RHP, but he does have seven of his nine HR off righties.

Will Venable (SD, OF) - $2,500

Venable had another strong night at the plate (3-5, 2 R, 2 RBI, 1 HR) and now has five multi-hit games in his past seven outings. Gotta love the cheap price too
