NBA Fantasy Shopper: DFS Lineup Picks for DraftStreet 3/5

rotoballer-fantasy-basketball-advice-jeff-teaguePG: Jeff Teague ($15,866): In case you haven’t noticed, the hottest point guard in the NBA in the last 10 days has been Teague.  In four games, he's averaged 27.3 points, 6 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1 steal per game.  With Paul Millsap out due to injury, Teague has taken complete control of the Hawks offense, and he is shooting a blistering 58% from the field in those games.  Tonight he faces a Portland team that gives up 103 points a game while allowing opponents to shoot 45.4% from the floor and 36% from deep.  Expect another game in the upper 20s in points with a handful of assists, rebounds and steals, adding up to a big fantasy night.

SG: Victor Oladipo ($12,711): The rookie guard in Orlando is coming off of two straight subpar games against Miami and Philadelphia that saw him combine for just 19 points, 5 assists and 2 rebounds.  That said, he is still averaging 33 minutes a game over the past week and has continued to contribute across the board, especially in steals.  Oladipo should be able to exploit the Rockets tonight, as they turn the ball over the second most in the NBA at 15.6 times a game.  He should also be helped by the defensive trio of James Harden, Patrick Beverley and Jeremy Lin-- they're among the worst in the NBA in stopping opposing guards.

SF: Ersan Ilyasova ($10,268): After another disappointing first half (that makes two straight seasons), Ilyasova is again starting to turn it on and be the fantasy stud most had hoped for at the start of the year.  In his last game, he had a monster night that saw him put up 31 points on 13 of 14 shooting, while also pulling down 5 rebounds and chipping in 2 blocks and a steal.  Prior to this game, Ilyasova had grabbed double-digit rebounds in three of five games and scored in double figures in four of those contests.  He matchup tonight is also nice, as the Bucks take on a Kings team that allows 104 points a game and an awful 46% opponent field goal percentage.

PF: Kenneth Faried ($10,939): Faried has two big things going for him tonight: first, he is playing at home (he averages 13.4 points and 8.7 rebounds a game at home versus road splits of just 9.3 and 6.4), and second, he gets to play a weak Dallas front line.  Dirk and company are a force on offense; nevertheless, they are a huge liability on defense, and one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA.  Faried is coming off of two nice games that saw him combine for 37 points, 18 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks.  He should be in line for a similar type of game tonight.

C: Marc Gasol ($14,420): It is safe to officially say that Marc Gasol the fantasy stud is back!  Over the past two weeks, Gasol has averaged 14.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.3 steals a game.  Outside of Joakim Noahthere is no better passing big man in the game, and Gasol's all-around stats make him a stud in daily leagues as well.  Along with his great numbers, it is also important to note he only turns the ball over 1.4 times a game while posting excellent shooting numbers, which means little to no negative points for the Spaniard.  He should benefit tonight from playing a Brooklyn team with no real offensive or defensive threat at the center position; expect a big return on investment from Gasol today.

U: Ty Lawson ($15,670): Speaking of players being back, Lawson burst on the scene in his first game back from a rib injury Monday night against Minnesota.  He played 40 minutes and posted a staggering 31 points, 11 assists, 4 rebounds and 4 steals.  The numbers are a bit high, but considering he is the focal point of a Denver team that scores 103 points a game, it’s not a complete shock.  On the season, Lawson is putting up 18.3 points and 8.8 assists a night, which bodes well against a pitiful Dallas defense.  In a game where both teams score and give up over 100 points a night, Lawson could be the star of the show.
