Jahan Dotson a Touchdown-Dependent Flex Play in Week 8
Oct 31, 2026, 11:47 AM ET
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Jahan Dotson disappointed in Week 7, notching just one catch (three targets) for six yards after a solid three-game stretch that saw him average over two catches and 65 yards per game while recording a pair of touchdown catches over that span. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. targeted 10 different receivers in last week's contest, so there were likely going to be some underwhelming performances from players not named Drake London, Kyle Pitts Sr, and Bijan Robinson. Still, the Penn State product had the highest average depth of target on the team (19 yards), which has been the case all season (16.9 yards), so he's always a home run threat. Week 8 brings a touch matchup against the Buccaneers, a defense that has been good against the pass, holding opposing WRs to the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game, yielding just five touchdown receptions to opposing wideouts through seven contests. It all makes the 26-year-old a boom/bust WR5/Flex in Week 8.--Jarod RuppSource: RotoBaller

Bills wide receiver DJ Moore (shoulder) has been out for the past two games and is questionable to return against the Ravens on Sunday. Moore spent this week of practice in a red non-contact jersey, but there is optimism that he will take the field against Baltimore. If he is healthy enough to play, Moore faces a tasty matchup, as the Ravens gave up an average of 13.3 yards per completion to Cincinnati Bengals pass catchers a week ago. Wide receiver Tee Higgins led the way for the Bengals, finishing with six receptions for 148 yards and a touchdown. Before he was sidelined in a Week 2 matchup with the Detroit Lions, Moore got off to a great start to the year, recording five receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown Week 1 against the Houston Texans. In his last two games, he's finished with just seven catches for 78 yards. Moore is RotoBaller's 14th-ranked wide receiver and is projected to score 12 fantasy points this week.--Alex BraskySource: RotoBaller
Sam LaPorta Coming Off a Disappointing Performance

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta caught just one pass in his return from the bye week last Sunday. While LaPorta's one catch on two targets proved to be a frustrating stat line, fantasy managers should be encouraged by the fact that he played a whopping 97% of the offensive snaps. Playing time has never been an issue for the talented tight end, so we expect him to get back on track with more volume in the upcoming weeks. After all, despite the Week 6 bye and the Week 7 dud, LaPorta still ranks as the overall TE6 in PPR scoring this season. This Detroit offense has repeatedly shown that it can simultaneously support big performances from LaPorta, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, and Jahmyr Gibbs in fantasy football. We'll look for LaPorta to get back on track in Week 8, despite a tougher matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.--Andersen PickardSource: RotoBaller
Bhayshul Tuten in Line for Second Straight Big Performance in Week 8

Oct 31, 2026, 11:43 AM ET
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Bhayshul Tuten is coming off his best fantasy performance of the season as he heads into a Week 8 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts. He has been a model of consistency so far, putting up 65-plus rushing yards in his first five games. He had his worst rushing output of the season in Week 6 and the fewest carries, totaling just 39 rushing yards on 12 carries, but countered that with his best receiving game of the season. Overall, Tuten finished with 87 scrimmage yards, 16 total touches, and two receiving touchdowns. Coming off a Week 7 bye and heading into a matchup with the 22nd-ranked defense against running backs in fantasy means fantasy managers have no reason to believe that consistency will falter. The Colts are also starting to trade some of their top players while sitting at 2-5 and surrendering the Tennessee Titans their first win of the season two weeks ago. In a potential Week 8 blowout, Tuten has a chance to top his Week 6 fantasy breakout performance.--Seth Quinn - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller RB Rankings
Three More Women Accuse Josh Jacobs of Physical Abuse

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been accused of physical abuse by three additional women, according to police records obtained by NBC26. Jacobs recently returned from a six-week stint on the commissioner's exempt list, which stemmed from an offseason arrest and allegations of domestic violence. The veteran running back returned to action in Week 7 and was not suspended for any additional time, as the time spent on the commissioner's exempt list counted toward his punishment. However, the NFL's investigation is still open, and this new report could provide the league with information that they did not previously have. According to the NBC26 story, the three new allegations all come from women who say they experienced violence from Jacobs in 2021 or 2022. All three women detailed being violently grabbed and pushed, and two also said that Jacobs took their cell phones. The victims reportedly came forward with their stories now to provide information that would assist police's investigation into the initial May 2026 allegation that led to Jacobs' arrest. One victim said that she originally chose not to report Jacobs in 2022 because the running back told her she could be deported. The 28-year-old may be back on the field, but he certainly isn't in the clear from a legal perspective yet. This is a storyline that should continue to be monitored as more details emerge and the NFL potentially considers disciplining Jacobs.--Andersen PickardSource: NBC26

Buffalo Bills running back James Cook III enters Week 8 as the third-leading rusher in the NFL, racking up an average of 104.5 yards rushing over his first six games of the year. However, he could face some tough sledding in Week 8, when he and Buffalo go up against a stout Ravens run defense, which has allowed just 98.6 yards rushing per game this season, the ninth-best mark in the NFL. In a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last week, Baltimore limited Cincinnati to just 73 yards rushing on an average of 3.7 yards per carry. Cook has found the end zone in five straight games and has averaged 114 yards rushing per game over that stretch. He's also hauled in six receptions for 73 yards over his last three matchups. Cook is RotoBaller's seventh-ranked running back and is projected to score 16 fantasy points against the Ravens this week.--Alex BraskySource: RotoBaller
Trevor Lawrence Among Top QB Options Against Skidding Colts
Seth Quinn

Oct 31, 2026, 11:34 AM ET
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence should be among the top fantasy quarterbacks in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts. The Jaguars are coming off a Week 7 bye and a close Week 6 loss to the Houston Texans. They did score 31 points, so despite the loss, Lawrence and the Jaguars offense should feel good heading into a matchup with another division rival. The Colts are on a three-game losing streak and starting to trade off some of their veterans. The 4-2 Jaguars are heading in the opposite direction at the top of the division. If the Colts are truly starting to give up on the season, that could mean the Jaguars offense has a big game in what could be a blowout. The Indianapolis defense already sits at 20th against quarterbacks in fantasy, and Lawrence has put up 20-plus fantasy points in four of six games. That recipe means fantasy managers should feel confident in another top fantasy performance from Lawrence in Week 8.--Seth Quinn - RotoBallerSource: RotoBaller QB Rankings
Kyle Pitts Sr. Carries Momentum into Favorable Week 8 Matchup

Oct 31, 2026, 11:30 AM ET
Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts Sr. brings plenty of steam into Week 8's road matchup against the Buccaneers after logging five catches and at least one touchdown in three straight games. He's averaging just 41 yards receiving per game over that stretch, but the 6-foot-6 tight end is a big red zone target, and he could keep on rolling this week in a favorable matchup. Though Tampa has been stout against the run and has limited production to wide receivers, the one spot where they've been vulnerable is to the tight end position. The Buccaneers are allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game to opposing TEs, including five touchdowns thus far (tied for fourth-most) and 62 receiving yards per game. Pitts' 5.03 ADOT is one of the lowest in the league among TEs with at least 25 targets, so the yardage totals may not be there, which may be why he ranks outside the top 12 this week at RotoBaller (TE14), but the recent touchdown momentum gives the 26-year-old weekly upside.--Jarod RuppSource: RotoBaller

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London tallied 10-plus targets in Week 7 for the fourth time in the last five games, making him the team's clear-cut No. 1 option at receiver. The former first-rounder caught seven passes for 66 yards and finally found the end zone for the first time this season. Week 8 brings an interesting challenge with a road matchup against Tampa Bay, one of the most formidable units against the run; however, they've also been good against the pass, holding opposing WRs to the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game, yielding just five touchdown receptions to opposing wideouts through seven contests. Regardless, expect the fifth-year pro to get his regular high dosage of targets in Week 8, which sets him up as a low-end WR1 in half-point PPR leagues.--Jarod RuppSource: RotoBaller

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson's production has taken a step back ever since the position group opened up. Marvin Harrison Jr. played his last game as a Cardinal in Week 4, and Wilson has been held to a modest four catches in each game since then. That's a significant step backward from his average of 6.3 catches per game through the first four weeks of the season. It's unclear exactly what has gone wrong for Wilson, but it's certainly possible that the departure of Harrison has allowed opposing defenses to put more attention on him. Whatever it may be, we're still optimistic that Wilson can bounce back in fantasy football. He has still fetched at least seven targets in every game this season, and he'll have an opportunity to get right in Week 8 against the Dallas Cowboys, who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to wide receivers in 2026.--Andersen PickardSource: RotoBaller

Bills quarterback Josh Allen is coming off a bye week and will take on a vulnerable Ravens pass defense in Week 8. The Ravens allowed Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow to throw for a whopping 292 yards and four touchdowns a week ago, while he also picked up 12 yards rushing on a couple of scrambles. Allen is RotoBaller's No. 1-ranked quarterback in Week 8 and is projected to score 26 fantasy points against Baltimore, which has allowed 220.9 yards passing per game this season. Before the bye week, Allen enjoyed another fruitful performance, recording 255 yards passing and a couple of touchdowns through the air during a 33-30 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He has thrown for at least 200 yards passing in each game this season, while Allen has scored multiple touchdowns in all six of Buffalo's contests as well.--Alex BraskySource: RotoBaller

Tennessee Titans rookie first-round wide receiver Carnell Tate (shoulder) is expected to return following the team's Week 9 bye, according to NFL insider Paul Kuharsky. Tate has already been ruled out for Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals, but Kuharsky reports that the rookie is likely headed for just a one-game absence. Next week's bye comes at a convenient time for the Titans and Tate, who will have a little extra time to recover to ensure he's close to 100% for Week 10 against Jacksonville. In the meantime, Wan'Dale Robinson, Calvin Ridley (hip), and Elic Ayomanor will handle more volume with Tate sidelined. The premier first-round pick has been impressive so far this season, ranking as the WR25 in PPR leagues with 34 catches, 413 yards, and one touchdown. His upside is even higher in dynasty leagues long-term, assuming the Titans can turn a corner and get better on offense.--Andersen PickardSource: Paul Kuharsky

Dallas Cowboys running back Javonte Williams posted season-highs in rushing attempts (25) and rushing yards (155), while also recording a rushing touchdown, in a Week 7 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. He will look to continue the momentum with a Week 8 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The Arizona defense allows 126.3 rushing yards per game (23rd in the NFL). Through seven games in 2026, Williams has rushed 110 times for 472 yards (4.3 yards per carry) and is tied for first in the NFL in rushing touchdowns with eight. He has also tallied 19 receptions for 103 yards (5.4 yards per reception) and an additional touchdown. Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson carried the load last week with fellow running back Brian Robinson (hamstring) unavailable, recording 20 carries compared to Khalil Herbert's two, racking up over 100 yards from scrimmage (63 rushing, 59 receiving) for the fifth time in seven games. Week 8 brings a tough challenge for the two-time Pro Bowler against a Tampa Bay rush defense that is second-best in the NFL in terms of limiting fantasy points to opposing rushers, holding opponents to a measly 77.3 yards per game on the ground and just three touchdowns (zero receiving TDs to RBs). Even so, the fourth-year pro has proven he can have success against even the stoutest defenses, making him an every-week RB1. He ranks as the No. 1 overall RB at RotoBaller this week, though the Tampa defense may make him a fade in DFS given his salary.--Jarod RuppSource: RotoBaller

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane has amassed 10 receiving targets, seven receptions and 65 receiving yards (9.29 yards per reception) over the past two games after missing four games on the injured reserve list. The rookie, who was a third-round draft pick in 2026, missed Week 2 through Week 5 while he was IR due to a wrist injury he suffered in his first professional game against the Indianapolis Colts. Since returning, Lane has immediately shown he will be involved in the offense. In a Week 7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Lane recorded three receptions for 25 yards (8.3 yards per reception). He has seen five targets in each of the previous two games playing with backup quarterback Tyler Huntley. Now, Lane gets starting quarterback Lamar Jackson back for a Week 8 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. The Buffalo defense has not yet shown that it can stop the pass, allowing 285.8 passing yards per game (31st in the NFL). Lane has flex appeal against the Bills, and ranks as RotoBaller's No. 43 wide receiver for Week 8.--Ryan O'BlenessSource: RotoBaller
New York Jets D/ST Is a Risky Streamer With Pass Rush Depleted

Oct 31, 2026, 11:07 AM ET
The New York Jets defense/special teams unit is a risky streaming option against the visiting Las Vegas Raiders in Week 8. Las Vegas ranks sixth in scoring at 26.1 points per game despite averaging only 74.7 rushing yards. David Bailey has 5.5 of New York's 19 sacks, a 29% share, but is doubtful with a groin injury after missing practice all week. Joseph Ossai (ankle) and T'Vondre Sweat (knee) are out after also missing all three sessions. New York has intercepted just one pass through seven games and allowed 28 points to Miami last week. Kirk Cousins threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns without an interception against the Rams last week. RotoBaller ranks the Jets D/ST15 for Week 8, making them a fallback for deeper leagues. Raiders lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson (back) is questionable after limited work Friday, but Brock Bowers (calf) practiced fully Thursday and Friday and has no designation. Cousins has 16 touchdown passes and five interceptions through seven games; Bowers contributed six catches for 73 yards last week.--Bruno MuléSource: RotoBaller
Mason Taylor Offers Streaming Value Against Raiders

Oct 31, 2026, 11:05 AM ET
New York Jets tight end Mason Taylor enters Sunday's Week 8 home matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders with a stronger workload case after leading the team's tight ends with 37 snaps, a 63% share, against Miami. Taylor caught five passes for 62 yards and two touchdowns, then added the late two-point conversion. Las Vegas just allowed the Rams' tight ends to combine for 11 catches, 82 yards and two scores, giving Taylor a useful matchup as his involvement grows. The two touchdowns should not obscure his modest season-long volume, however: Taylor has 14 catches on 18 targets across five appearances, with two games missed because of a thumb injury. That is fewer than four targets per game, leaving him vulnerable to a quiet outing if Garrett Wilson and Omar Cooper Jr. draw most of Geno Smith's attention. RotoBaller ranks Taylor TE20 for Week 8. His playing time and recent scoring opportunities make him a reasonable deeper-league streamer, especially for managers needing touchdown upside, but his target history keeps him outside the reliable TE1 group.--Bruno MuléSource: RotoBaller
Omar Cooper Jr. has Expanding Role Heading into Week 8
Bruno Mulé
Bruno Mulé
Oct 31, 2026, 11:04 AM ET
New York Jets wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. brings an expanding role into Sunday's Week 8 home matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Cooper ran a route on 74.2% of New York's dropbacks in Weeks 6-7 and led the team with a 29.3% first-read target share over that span. That involvement supports starting him as a WR3/flex alongside Garrett Wilson rather than attributing his rise entirely to two explosive games. Cooper followed 103 yards and a touchdown against New England with five catches for 115 yards and another score against Miami. Two receptions supplied 112 of last week's yards, so his production still depends heavily on long gains. He has drawn only 13 targets across three career appearances, making the recent yardage pace difficult to sustain without more volume. RotoBaller ranks Cooper WR25 for Week 8. Las Vegas has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to slot receivers, where Cooper is projected to face Taron Johnson. The favorable slot matchup and his recent priority in the passing game make him a useful upside play in 12-team leagues.--Bruno MuléSource: RotoBaller
Garrett Wilson's Recent Target Share Adds Risk to WR2 Outlook

Bruno Mulé
Oct 31, 2026, 11:04 AM ET
New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson is a WR2 for Sunday's Week 8 home matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, but the recent distribution of targets lowers confidence in a rebound. Wilson received only three of Geno Smith's 30 attempts against Miami, catching two passes for 26 yards while Smith threw three touchdowns. Across Weeks 6-7, Wilson accounted for 12.2% of New York's first-read targets, compared with 29.3% for Omar Cooper Jr. That shift matters because Wilson's disappointing output has come as the offense has gained another productive receiver, rather than simply struggling to move the ball. Wilson still leads the Jets with 37 catches for 444 yards and three touchdowns, and RotoBaller ranks him WR19 for Week 8. Las Vegas allowed Puka Nacua eight catches for 68 yards and a score last week, providing a favorable opportunity if New York directs more passes Wilson's way. Cooper's emergence makes Wilson less appealing as a ceiling play, but his season-long production and the matchup still justify starting him in 12-team leagues.--Bruno MuléSource: RotoBaller

Oct 31, 2026, 11:01 AM ET
New York Jets running back Braelon Allen (ankle) carries no injury designation for Sunday's Week 8 home matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders after practicing fully Thursday and Friday. His workload depends on Breece Hall, who remains questionable with a quadriceps injury after three limited sessions. Allen has made a strong case for continued involvement even if Hall returns, rushing for 357 yards during Hall's four-game absence. Against Miami last week, he handled 17 carries for 104 yards and caught six passes for 30 yards. That receiving production is particularly encouraging because it gives him another way to contribute when New York trails, as it did throughout the Dolphins game. Las Vegas allowed the Rams' top two running backs to gain 192 rushing yards and score twice last week, making Allen a legitimate RB2 if Hall sits again. RotoBaller lists Allen at RB31, appropriate flex territory if both backs play. Hall's earlier role included 17 carries per game, so his return would take away meaningful rushing opportunities even with Allen playing well.--Bruno MuléSource: RotoBaller

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (quadriceps) is questionable for Sunday's Week 8 home game against the Las Vegas Raiders after remaining limited in all three practices. A return would pair him with Braelon Allen, who has rushed for 357 yards during Hall's four-game absence and added 56 receiving yards over the past two games. Allen practiced fully Thursday and Friday and carries no injury designation. Las Vegas allowed Kyren Williams and Blake Corum to combine for 192 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 33 carries last week, a matchup that could support both Jets backs. Before his injury, Hall handled 51 carries for 163 yards and caught 10 passes for 102 yards across three appearances, averaging 20.3 touches per game. His receiving contribution is especially useful in PPR formats given his modest 3.2 yards per carry. Aaron Glenn has said the backs' roles will not change when both are healthy, supporting Hall's involvement while preserving work for Allen. RotoBaller ranks Hall RB24 for Week 8, making him a conditional RB2 if active.--Bruno MuléSource: RotoBaller
