NFL DFS Game Stacks: Week 4 Tournament Picks For FanDuel, DraftKings (Premium)

Luther Burden III - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers

RotoBaller's Week 4 NFL DFS Tournament Stacks for daily fantasy football on FanDuel, DraftKings, and Yahoo. Win big in DFS with our expert research and advice.

Every week, we try to find that one game that could go off. The game where both teams score a ton of points, while many of the players involved beat their projections.

These are the games we want to target in DFS tournaments. It's not always the games with the highest totals; we want games that we think can stay close and be high-scoring. That's the most likely route towards some ceiling performances from players on both teams.

My esteemed colleague J.P. Sticco usually does this column every week, but I am going to sub in this week and do my best to take an analytical approach in his absence. Let's dig into my three favorite games to stack up this Sunday!

NFL DFS Stacks and Value Picks: Week 4 Guide

Teams Playing Prime-Time Matchups (Not on Sunday Slate):

  • Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns (Thursday)
  • Indianapolis Colts at Washington Commanders (Sunday AM London game)
  • Detroit Lions at Carolina Panthers (Sunday Night)
  • Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints (Monday)

Top Implied Totals For Sunday Main Slate

Dallas Cowboys at Houston Texans

  • Current Spread: HOU -3
  • Current Total: 48.5

The first thing that grabs my attention is the positive matchup for both passing games. That's music to my ears, because we can utilize both quarterbacks in our stacks while mixing in our favorite receivers from both teams.

Houston is 0-3 and has been pretty bad offensively the last two weeks without Nico Collins. But Collins returns for this one, which should open things up for C.J. Stroud. It also helps that Dallas ranks 31st in EPA/Pass (per Sumer Sports), with only the Dolphins having a worse rating this season.

The Cowboys have tried to improve their pass defense from last season, but the early returns are not good. They run a lot of zone (72%) to prevent their corners from getting isolated, and are only blitzing at a 25% rate this year. Their 38% pressure rate ranks 22nd in the league, so Stroud should see some clean pockets - something that he hasn't had very often this year or last, as his offensive line has struggled.

Meanwhile, Dallas is in a sneaky good spot here, too. While their run game grades out negatively against a stout Houston front, their top two receivers (Pickens and Lamb) have matchups they can win. The Texans rank just 19th against the pass through three weeks and have given up big games to D.J. Moore, Josh Downs, and Ja'Marr Chase.

If Houston's offense can get back on track and put up some points, this game has some real shootout potential. The Cowboys already love to go pass-heavy on offense, and if they're stuffed in the run game, they'll have no choice.

These aren't cheap stacks to build, but I think the ceilings for the quarterbacks and receivers are substantial. Nico Collins is the main target for the Texans, while I think some exposure to both Lamb and Pickens is warranted. I like skinny stacks (QB+WR+OPP WR) the best here mainly due to the cost of these receivers.
