Andrew Van Ginkel 2026 Fantasy Football Outlook: Betting on Himself
Despite playing in just 12 games last season, Andrew Van Ginkel's seven sacks were second on the team, trailing only Dallas Turner. Fort IDP enthusiasts, Van Ginkel has been an underrated and productive asset not only in the sack department, where he has 18.5 over the past two seasons, but also as a tackler, accounting for 133 total tackles over those 29 contests. One of the biggest adjustments entering 2026 will be seeing how Van Ginkel responds after the departure of Jonathan Greenyard (Eagles), who drew much of the attention up front. That said, Van Ginkel is betting on himself this season, having signed just a one-year deal and opting to become a free agent at season's end. Considering how Brian Flores has schematically used Van Ginkel as a chess piece within his defense as an elite pass rusher of the edge and stout run defender, there is no reason to believe that Van Ginkel can't post double-digit sacks once again, along with 50-plus tackles. Van Ginkel is one of the rare fantasy assets on the defensive side of the ball with a solid floor as a tackler and immense upside thanks to his big-play potential when going after opposing quarterbacks.
