Detroit Red Wings goaltender John Gibson (undisclosed) is not expected to be out long-term, Max Smith of Detroit Hockey Now reports. Gibson departed Sunday's 3-0 win over the New Jersey Devils after two periods, finishing with 21 saves. "He got hit in a bad spot and didn't feel good after that happened. He should be fine, I would think," Red Wings head coach Todd McLellan said postgame. Cam Talbot replaced Gibson for the third to finish the job and had 10 saves as Detroit recorded its first shared shutout since 2019. Gibson missed one game last week due to an upper-body injury. The Red Wings don't have any back-to-backs on the horizon, so the team could ride Talbot until Gibson feels 100 percent.--Taavi Pailk
