Omar Cooper Jr. Posts Solid Combine Results, Pushing Towards First-Round Status?
Indiana University wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. had a solid weekend at the 2026 NFL Draft combine, running a 4.42-second 40-yard dash and recording a 37-inch vertical jump. Cooper Jr. finished off his college career with the Hoosiers this past season by winning a national title. Across 16 games, the 22-year-old recorded 69 receptions for 937 yards and 13 touchdowns. Cooper Jr. profiles as a physical slot receiver with some ability to line up on the outside and win against NFL cornerbacks as well. NFL.com's Lance Zierlein comps Cooper Jr. to Washington Commanders wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr., and labels Cooper Jr. as an "ascending" day two prospect. Depending on where he lands, Cooper Jr. could provide immediate fantasy value in 2026. RotoBaller currently ranks him as the WR68 for dynasty formats.
