Jaylen Warren Fantasy Football Injury Update
Earlier today, Warren was added to the injury report and officially holds a questionable tag. Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reported that Warren woke up sick and needed to receive fluids. However, Pelissero noted that the lead running back is "optimistic" he will suit up.
Managers should continue to pay close attention to their status leading up to kickoff. Given his illness, he may end up being close to a game-time decision if he is unable to show any major improvement this afternoon.

If he were to miss tonight's contest, Kenneth Gainwell, Pittsburgh's No. 2 option, would likely take on a massive workload. However, even if Warren were to be limited by this injury this evening, managers should still expect him to log the majority of the team's snaps.
Jaylen Warren Fantasy Football Injury Impact
Even though Warren appears to be in danger of missing this game, if active, managers should feel confident locking him into their RB2 spot. The 27-year-old has served as Pittsburgh's lead back for most of the campaign. Entering Week 15, Warren has averaged a solid 13.2 PPR points per game (across 12 games).
Warren has taken 13.3 rushing attempts per game, and he has remained quite active as a pass catcher, seeing 2.9 targets per game. Over the last three games, Warren has hit the double-digit PPR opportunity maker in each contest and also found the end zone in each game.
If Warren were to sit out, Gainwell would then carry must-start RB2 upside. In the lone game in which Warren sat out (Week 4), Gainwell enjoyed a career game, totaling an impressive 31.4 PPR points against the Vikings. In this game, Gainwell totaled 99 yards and two scores on the ground and added another 35 yards on six receptions.
In this event, rookie Kaleb Johnson would also likely see an increase in snaps but not carry much fantasy value outside of a cheap dart throw in DFS showdown slates. Johnson has averaged only 3.0 rushing attempts per game and should not be started in any season-long format even if he is bumped up to the backup role behind Gainwell.
