Quinn Hughes Scores in Wild Debut
Minnesota Wild defenseman Quinn Hughes enjoyed a good debut for his new club on Sunday, scoring the team's fourth goal in a 6-2 victory over the Boston Bruins. Hughes fired in a wrist shot inside the first minute of the third period. The 2024 Norris Trophy winner jumped on the top power-play unit and skated with Brock Faber on the first defensive pairing, eating up 26:55 of ice time. In the game, Hughes had three shots on goal but didn't register any defensive stats. Hughes has previously shown the ability to average over a point per game, and his production is bound to improve in Minnesota, with better players surrounding him. Currently, he sits on 24 points (three goals, 21 assists) through 27 appearances.
