John Carlson a Game-Time Call Monday
Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson (upper body) is considered a game-time decision for Monday's meeting with the Los Angeles Kings. On Saturday against the New Jersey Devils, Carlson missed his first game of the season due to an upper-body Injury. He may return for Monday's action, but we won't know for certain until the pre-game warmups. Carlson has had a busy start to the season, recording 14 points (four goals, 10 assists) in 17 appearances, which ties him with Alex Ovechkin for the third-most points on the Capitals team. Trevor van Riemsdyk, who logged two blocks across 16:13 of ice time on Saturday, will likely remain in the lineup if Carlson isn't healthy enough to return.
