Vancouver Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes (undisclosed) is considered a game-time decision for Friday's contest against the Carolina Hurricanes. After missing practice on Thursday, Hughes returned to the ice on Friday morning, but it remains uncertain whether he is healthy enough to play against Carolina. Having collected 13 points (one goal, 12 assists) in 14 games, Hughes is currently ranked 11th among all defensemen in scoring. He finished Tuesday's loss against the Winnipeg Jets with three assists and has recorded at least one helper in each of his past four appearances. If Hughes can't play on Friday night, Pierre-Olivier Joseph and Victor Mancini are the options to replace him in the lineup.--Taavi Pailk
