Mikael Granlund Exits Early Saturday
Anaheim Ducks forward Mikael Granlund (lower body) was forced to leave Saturday's matchup after only nine shifts. He played barely six minutes before sustaining a lower-body injury. On Thursday, Granlund exploded for a career-high five points in a game against the Boston Bruins. Prior to that, Granlund had only managed three points in his first six games with the Ducks. His time in Anaheim has been challenging, and the injury he suffered on Saturday night is another setback for the Finnish forward. Granlund has been skating on the third line and the first power-play unit. If he can't play on Tuesday night against the Florida Panthers, Jansen Harkins will likely make his season debut.
