Mike Vrabel Thinks RBs Might be Focusing Too Much on Ball Security
Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson may be too focused on not fumbling to maximize opportunities in the run game, according to head coach Mike Vrabel. Stevenson specifically has had fumble issues this year, losing three critical fumbles. Last week against the Saints, he did not fumble the ball but only managed 18 yards on his 13 carries. He is still getting most of the carries and snaps, but Henderson was slightly more effective in Week 6, running for 27 yards on his nine carries. Drake Maye and the passing game have been making up for the struggles on the ground, but the Patriots will need Henderson or Stevenson to step up if they want to ultimately contend for a playoff spot. This week, the Patriots are in Tennessee, and keeping a close eye on the timeshare is important to determine which back will have more value moving forward.
