Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn (upper body) missed Wednesday's practice and is considered day-to-day. Benn has sustained an upper-body injury early in the preseason, and the team is taking a cautious approach with the veteran. The Stars captain is set to begin his 17th NHL campaign and showed last season that he can still be effective. Benn collected 49 points (16 goals, 23 assists) with 114 hits across 80 appearances in 2024-25. While he's past his prime, Benn can still get hot at times and will continue to play an important role for Dallas this season.--Taavi Pailk
