Bryce Perkins Plays Well in Preseason Finale
Bryce Perkins, who was signed by the Carolina Panthers earlier this week, delivered an impressive performance in Thursday night's preseason finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Stepping in after Andy Dalton's elbow injury, the former UFL MVP completed 11 of 12 passes for 71 yards. He also showcased his mobility, adding 28 yards on just two rushes. Despite taking three sacks for a loss of 35 yards, Perkins simply looked sharper than Thursday's starter Jack Plummer. Plummer completed only seven of 14 passes for just 28 yards, averaging just four yards per attempt. While he threw a touchdown to James Mitchell, he followed it up by tossing an interception. With Perkins' strong showing, the Panthers now face a difficult decision. They must choose whether to carry four quarterbacks on the active roster or send either Perkins or Plummer packing.
