Jack Plummer's Struggles Continue
Jack Plummer had another poor performance in the final preseason game Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. With starters resting and Andy Dalton (elbow) injured, Plummer had the opportunity to secure the team's third-string roster spot but struggled to capitalize. He completed just seveen of 14 passes for a mere 48 yards, averaging 3.4 yards per attempt. While he did manage a touchdown, he followed it up with a bad interception. Plummer's poor showing could cost him his roster spot, as the Panthers signed former UFL MVP Bryce Perkins earlier this week. On Saturday, Perkins completed 10 of 11 passes for 71 yards and rushed for 28. Plummer's spot on the 53-man roster could be in jeopardy.
