Jacob Cowing Misses Practice With Lower-Body Injury
Jacob Cowing (lower body) did not practice on Wednesday after he appeared to suffer a lower-body injury in Tuesday's practice, per Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area. It's unclear how serious Cowing's injury is at this time. Injuries have been the story of Cowing's career in the NFL to this point. The 24-year-old suffered a hamstring injury in the first training camp practice at the end of July that kept him out for almost three weeks. If his new injury is related to his hamstring, there's a good chance he won't be ready for the start of the regular season in Week 1 on Sunday, Sept. 7, against the division-rival Seattle Seahawks. It's yet another injury for a banged-up Niners receivers room, as Jauan Jennings (calf), Brandon Aiyuk (knee) and Jordan Watkins (ankle) are all out. Cowing can be ignored in standard-sized fantasy leagues this fall.
