Chase Burns Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
In his MLB debut, Burns wasted little time to make an impact as he struck out the first five batters he faced, including superstar Aaron Judge. While he finished the game with three earned runs and six hits through five innings, it was an impressive debut facing a potent Yankee lineup.
He tallied eight punchouts and did not allow a walk.

Seeing Burns tally punchouts at a high level in his MLB debut is a very promising sign for his fantasy stock. He should be viewed as a must-start option heading into his next outing on Monday, against the Red Sox.
Chase Burns Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
After being drafted with the second overall pick out of Wake Forest last season, the Reds opted to shut Burns down for the remainder of the season. He made his professional debut with High-A Dayton but quickly progressed to Double-A and, eventually, Triple-A.
Through 66 total innings in the MiLB, the hard-throwing right-hander posted an elite 89:13 K:BB with a 1.77 ERA and a 0.77 WHIP.
Given his top-tier strikeout upside and stellar command, he should be viewed as a must-add player in all leagues heading into Week 14.
