ANALYSIS: Even though the Chicago White Sox have already promoted one of their top catching prospect, Edgar Quero, earlier this season, their other budding backstop, Kyle Teel, is quickly approaching his MLB debut.
Teel was included in the package that sent Garrett Crochet to the Boston Red Sox in the winter. Last season, Teel was very productive during his first taste of Triple-A, posting a .255/.374/.343 line with an impressive 29:20 K:BB and two home runs across 28 games.
However, with Triple-A Charlotte, Teel has begun to take the next step in his development, especially from a power perspective. Through 44 total contests, the No. 28-ranked prospect in baseball has held a strong .296/.397/.494 line with nine doubles, seven home runs, and four stolen bases.
Since May 1, Teel has been one of the hottest hitters at Triple-A, as he has slashed a stellar .359/.461/.641 line with six doubles and four long balls.

If Teel continues to produce at this rate, he should be in the mix to earn his call to the majors before the end of June.
