Josh Morrissey Sustains Knee Injury in Game 6 Loss
Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey sustained an apparent knee injury in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Dallas Stars. He was forced to exit the contest in the second period, logging only 14:55 of ice time in the elimination game. "It's not good," Jets head coach Scott Arniel said about Morrissey's injury after the game. "He's banged up pretty good." The 30-year-old also suffered an upper-body injury during the postseason, which caused him to miss one game. Morrissey will now have the entire offseason to get back into game shape. Winnipeg's No. 1 defenseman has become one of the top fantasy producers among blue-liners, recording three consecutive 60-point campaigns. He finished this season with 14 goals, 48 assists, 172 shots, and 113 blocks in 80 appearances.
