Mikko Rantanen Continues Scoring Tear In Game 3
Dallas Stars winger Mikko Rantanen was spectacular once again as the team defeated the Winnipeg Jets 5-2 on Sunday in Game 3 of the second-round series. The Finnish superstar recorded a goal and two assists, becoming the first player in NHL history with five three-point games within his first 10 contests in a postseason. Rantanen earned two of his points early in the third period with the score tied at two. Despite being held scoreless in Game 2, Rantanen has averaged nearly two points per game in the playoffs, accumulating nine goals and nine assists in 10 outings. No player in Stars/North Stars history has scored more points than Rantanen in the first 10 appearances of a single playoff campaign.
