FanDuel NBA DFS Picks for Today (Friday, 3/7/25): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Bam Adebayo - Miami Heat

Dan's favorite FanDuel NBA DFS picks for today, Friday - 3/7/25. His top daily fantasy basketball lineup sleepers and value picks for FanDuel DFS contests.

Oklahoma City is resting all of its regulars (maybe Chet Holmgren, too—stay tuned), and we have multiple other stud players on the shelf tonight in what is quickly becoming the norm in the NBA this month. Buckle up for tonight's eight-game NBA DFS slate on FanDuel; it's going to get weird!

I always make it a point to recommend some higher-priced players for cash games and GPPs while highlighting some of my favorite value plays and game stacks. If you want DraftKings picks, see who Zach Thompson likes by reading his piece here.

This article will provide my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/7/25. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:00 p.m. EST on FanDuel.

FanDuel NBA DFS Core Picks

Bam Adebayo, MIA - PF/C ($8.7K)

If you want to lock and load Bam tonight, FanDuel is the site to do it. He's only $8,700 on FD compared to DK, where he's $9,200 and only eligible at center.

Bam has been great lately, scoring 40+ FD points in four straight and 50+ in each of his last two outings. The Heat have already ruled out rookie big man Kel'el Ware again, and with no competition from his teammate for boards, we should see Bam rack up boards in bunches as he has in the last two games (27 total).

Tyler Herro is questionable again after missing Wednesday's game due to illness. If Herro sits, then we should see Bam as the first option on offense. Minnesota isn't the easiest matchup, but the Heat are only five-point underdogs here, and if they pull off a win or keep it close, it's likely because Bam has a big night.

Jonas Valanciunas, SAC - C ($7.5K)

I was all over Jo-Val on Wednesday in a matchup with Nikola Jokic, and I am going right back to him tonight as he's set to make another start for the injured Domantas Sabonis against a Spurs team that simply can't stop big men in the paint.

Losing "Wemby" and the rim protection he brought to this defense has hurt the Spurs. They have allowed the sixth-most points to opposing big men over the last 15 games. With no Sabonis or Malik Monk tonight, the offense should flow through Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and JV. I expect him to have another big night and hit value relatively easily.

Scottie Barnes, TOR - SF/PF ($9.1K)

The Raptors will be rolling without starting big man Jakob Poeltl and their second-leading scoring, RJ Barrett, tonight. So it should be the Scottie Barnes show with Immanuel Quickley as his sidekick in a game against a tanking Utah team.

Utah has been one of the worst defensive teams in the league and this game could easily have a Summer League vibe with Toronto not going anywhere this season and rolling out a bunch of young players, too. Those types of games can be a lot of fun and we can often see players rack up big stat totals, too. Don't get caught up game log-watching here, I know Barnes hasn't popped off in a while, but the conditions are right for a big outing tonight.

Others Under Consideration: De'Aaron Fox - PG/SG ($8.6K), Nikola Jokic - C ($12.7K)

FanDuel NBA DFS Tournament Pivots

Naji Marshall, DAL - SF/PF ($6.3K)

Dallas has no one else left, and it's that simple. In their first game without Kyrie Irving on Wednesday night, Spencer Dinwiddie and Max Christie were very disappointing, while Marshall and Klay Thompson carried the offense.

I normally wouldn't pay 6k for Marshall, but he should play as many minutes as he can handle and the 22-11-2 line he posted against Milwaukee gives us an indication of his potential in this lineup that lacks many other viable options on offense.

DeMar DeRozan, SAC – SF/PF ($7.7K)

DDR had a strong outing against the Nuggets on Wednesday as the Kings hung in there but ultimately fell to Denver in a close game. He feels very underpriced here for his increased role without Sabonis and Malik Monk in the lineup.

He played a whopping 42 minutes, and if he's going to be on the floor that much tonight, he could smash this price tag in a plus matchup against a bad Spurs defense.

Shaedon Sharpe, POR - SG/SF ($6.9K)

Here's where I want to go off the grid a little bit. Most of the focus on this game is going to be on the OKC side as that's where all the value is because of the starters resting. But the spread on this game is now just three points and that means we should get a close - potentially high-scoring - game and that makes me want some exposure to the Portland side.

We know Deandre Ayton is out, but Deni Avdija and Jerami Grant are questionable, too. Sharpe has been starting and playing some great basketball. Both he and Anfernee Simons (7.1K) are affordably priced for their ceilings here, and it makes some sense to pair some Portland pieces with the OKC value in tournaments.

Others Under Consideration: Immanuel Quickley - PG/SG ($7.4K), Spencer Dinwiddie - PG/SG ($6.0K), Max Christie - SG/SF ($5.8K)

FanDuel NBA DFS Value Picks

Aaron Wiggins, OKC– SF/SG ($5.4K), Isaiah Joe, OKC - SG ($3.9K)

Chet Holmgren is the only starter who might suit up tonight, so we should see a healthy dose of Wiggins and Joe leading the first unit. Speculating on who else plays what minutes is going to be major guesswork. Wiggins has been rock solid all season and has popped off with some big outings when he's the main guy, and Joe is ridiculously cheap for someone with his scoring ability.

Miles McBride, NYK - PG/SG ($4.4K)

Jalen Brunson sprained his ankle last night and is questionable for tonight's game against the Clippers. I would only play McBride IF Brunson is out and if we don't know Brunson's status by the time lineups lock on the East Coast then McBride might end up being a sneaky late-game swap option.

Keon Ellis, SAC – PG/SG ($5.1K)

Ellis should start and play heavy minutes again tonight as Monk is out. He's not much of a scorer, but he's a steals machine, and he was able to post 35 FD points by adding two steals and two blocks to his stat sheet.

Orlando Robinson, TOR - C ($4.0K)

Chris Boucher might end up being the cheap Raptor big man that people click on, but I bet that Robinson starts for Toronto tonight at center and splits those minutes with the recently signed Collin Castleton. He's a solid rebounder and could smash this price tag with big minutes tonight.

Others Under Consideration: Jusuf Nurkic - C ($4.7K), Brandon Williams - PG ($4.8K), Kenrich Williams - PF ($3.7K)
