New York Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin will battle for an eighth consecutive win on Friday against the Winnipeg Jets. Sorokin's current 7-0-0 run marks his longest winning streak since a career-best stretch of nine consecutive victories in 2020-21. The recent hot form has helped Sorokin improve his record to 20-14-4. He has registered three shutouts while allowing 2.59 goals with a .910 save percentage. Sorokin's work has been fantastic lately, but he has an extremely difficult matchup on Friday. The Jets have racked up seven straight wins and share the league's best record with 79 points.--Taavi Pailk
