Kurt Kitayama will be making his second start of 2025 at the American Express this week. The 31-year-old UNLV alum had an excellent Fall Swing, playing in three events while racking up finishes of T25, T9, and a solo fifth place at the ZOZO Championship. In his 2025 debut at the Sony Open last week, Kitayama uncharacteristically lost 1.4 strokes on approach but still managed to make the cut and finish T37. PGA West should be a solid fit for him, as he ranks 11th in strokes gained off-the-tee, sixth on approach, eighth in opportunities gained, 14th in par 5 scoring, and first in bogey avoidance. While historically not an elite putter, Kitayama is capable of spike weeks and is coming off back-to-back starts with positive gains on the greens. Fantasy managers should strongly consider rostering Kitayama in La Quinta this week.--Ryan Hickey
