George Kittle Injury Update for Fantasy Football

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (ribs) is listed as day-to-day following his Week 4 victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday.

Kittle, who missed the Week 3 loss to division-rival Los Angeles Rams due to a hamstring injury, returned to action against the Patriots. The 30-year-old tight end caught all four of his targets for 45 yards and scored a touchdown, marking his second consecutive game with a score.

However, he sustained a rib injury in the first half and was questionable about returning before rejoining the game after halftime. Kittle had a full workload on Sunday and is expected to be available for Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy managers should monitor his practice participation later this week but can plan to start Kittle against a vulnerable Arizona defense.

George Kittle Fantasy Football Outlook

If George Kittle is healthy, he is a must-start option for fantasy football managers.

Currently sitting as the TE2 on the season, despite missing a week due to injury, Kittle has significantly impacted in just three games, recording 15 receptions and two touchdowns.

His ability to make big plays and be a reliable target in the red zone enhances his value, especially in an offense that frequently looks to him for key contributions.

Kittle's combination of talent, chemistry with quarterback Brock Purdy, and the potential for high target volume makes him a formidable asset each week.

If he is cleared to play, fantasy owners should confidently slot him into their lineups, as he possesses the upside to deliver explosive performances against any defense.
