Brandon Aiyuk fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 3 (2024). Should you start or sit Brandon Aiyuk for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2 With WR1 Potential
ANALYSIS: Brandon Aiyuk had one of the loudest, most dramatic offseasons we have seen in a long time before eventually agreeing to an extension with the San Francisco 49ers. He has been rusty in his first two games of the season, earning 13.1 fantasy points (PPR) in those contests combined.
It was expected that Aiyuk would need some time to get back up to speed as he did not participate in training camp or preseason practices very much. Now that he has had some time, though, he is starting to look more like his true self. The most recent half of football he played was his best, and he looked like the man who finished as the overall fantasy WR14 in 2023.

In Week 3, Aiyuk finds himself in an ideal position. His co-receiver star, Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf), is injured and will be out, and tight end George Kittle (hamstring) is questionable to go. This means there will be more targets for Aiyuk, which will result in a larger fantasy output.
It is also worth noting that Aiyuk finished second in the NFL last season in yards per reception with 17.9. With a large volume of targets and the potential to make each target big, Aiyuk is a must-start in all leagues in Week 3.
