Who Should I Draft? Josh Jacobs, James Conner, Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Football Outlooks (2024)

James Conner - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Should I draft Josh Jacobs, James Conner, or Rhamondre Stevenson in 2024 fantasy football? Justin Pottinger breaks down which RB is the best choice.

As the fantasy football draft season heats up, selecting the right running back can be a game-changer for your team. Josh Jacobs, James Conner, and Rhamondre Stevenson are three players who each bring unique circumstances and potential for the 2024 season.

From Jacobs' expanded role with the Packers to Conner's solid production with the Cardinals and Stevenson's potential impact with the Patriots amid a shifting quarterback situation, we'll analyze their prospects to help you make informed decisions for your fantasy roster.

Who should you draft? Let's dive in!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Josh Jacobs Fantasy Football Outlook

Josh Jacobs is set for a notable role in the Packers backfield this season as he enters a new team at age 26. Last year, Jacobs ran for 805 rushing yards and scored six touchdowns in 13 games, demonstrating his ability to be a key offensive weapon.

With the recent news of backup running back AJ Dillon sidelined for the season due to a neck injury, Jacobs should see an increased workload and could become the focal point of Green Bay's offense. This expanded role should increase the volume of carries.

Jacobs will become Jordan Love's new best friend. The star running back has shown how dangerous he can be when he is healthy on the field. However, his ADP is costly, as Jacobs is being drafted as the RB12 in most formatted leagues.

James Conner Fantasy Football Outlook

James Conner heads into this fantasy season as a key figure in the Arizona Cardinals offense. He is coming off a productive year in which he rushed for 1,040 yards and scored nine touchdowns in just 13 games.

Conner’s ability to find the end zone and handle a heavy workload makes him a valuable fantasy asset. Many forget, but in the last five weeks of the 2023 season, Conner averaged nearly 25.1 fantasy points per game and was excellent when Murray returned.

With the Cardinals likely to lean on their run game and having the ability to both run and catch, Conner is poised to be one of the focal points of the offense.

Conner should become everyone's favorite mid-round running back choice, as his ADP is at a favorable RB18. If he can stay healthy, Conner offers a solid combination of volume and scoring potential, making him a reliable option in fantasy drafts.

Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Football Outlook

Rhamondre Stevenson enters this fantasy season with intriguing upside, especially given the uncertainty in the Patriots quarterback room. Last season, Stevenson ran for 619 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games, demonstrating his ability to be a productive force in New England's backfield.

His combination of power, vision, and receiving ability makes him a valuable asset, but the Patriots will be down in most games played this year, so game script will be difficult for him to excel in. At the discounted price of RB20, Stevenson seems more of a high-risk, high-reward type of player in 2024.

Who Should I Draft in Fantasy Football?

When deciding between Josh Jacobs, James Conner, and Rhamondre Stevenson this year in fantasy football, all signs point toward Jacobs or Conner being the best selection.

Both running backs will be excellent for fantasy football this season, but Jacobs is projected to be drafted in the second or third round, while Conner is being selected in Round 4 or Round 5. Their ADPs should heavily be considered when entering your draft.

Stevenson is a running back all fantasy managers should avoid due to his poor situation and a struggling offensive line. Jacobs and Conner will produce more efficiently and have a more successful 2024 season.
