Colorado Rockies pitching prospect Jace Kaminska was the club's 10th-round selection in the 2023 MLB Draft. While we couldn't gain much insight into his profile after he tossed just one inning in pro ball last year, he has burst onto the scene as an intriguing young prospect in 2024. He throws a solid low-to-mid-90s fastball and counters his heater with a low-80s slider, which has proven to be a very effective secondary offering. So far, he's also demonstrated terrific control, tallying nearly eight times as many strikeouts as walks. Last week's outing certainly helped Kaminska's K/BB ratio, plus his season stats as a whole. The right-hander spun seven shutout innings on Sunday, allowing just three hits and zero walks along the way. Most impressive were his 10 strikeouts, which tied the highest mark of his young career.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBallerRead More News
