BALLER MOVE: Add in NL-only Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 35% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Gavin Stone has been an extremely uneven starter to begin his big-league career. The 25-year-old has shown flashes of potential following an excellent minor-league career but has yet to put it together at the big-league level.
Through 12 outings (eight starts) with the big club, Stone sports a 7.90 ERA across 49 innings of work. His peripherals aren't nearly as poor as he sports a 4.66 xFIP and a 4.88 SIERA, but those figures are nothing to write home about, either. He has walked a hefty 11.9% of the batters he has faced this season, leading to a 7.1% K-BB% that leaves plenty to be desired.
Gavin Stone was HIM tonight. Perfect through 5. Didn't get rattled after losing the perfecto/no-no. Stoner is for real.

At the same time, he does have plenty of upside. He has a history of big-time strikeout numbers in the minors and will be well-supported by his elite offense as a member of the Dodgers' rotation in the big leagues this season.
As a result, he is worth a flyer in NL-only leagues as he continues his development while working on his strikeout stuff at the big-league level.
