Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups - Top Fantasy Football WR Adds for Week 13 include Jayden Reed, Curtis Samuel, Greg Dortch

Curtis Samuel - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

With last week in the rearview, it's time to look ahead to Week 13 with our wide receiver fantasy football waiver wire pickups. There are some good upside wide receivers out there on the waiver wire, so this is a good chance for you to bolster your fantasy lineup.

Below, you'll find some wide receivers that you should be targeting on the fantasy football waiver wire ahead of Week 13. Not all of these waiver wire options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster.

Be sure to also check out our Waiver Wire Adds for Week 13 for help at all the skill positions. All players on this list are around 50% rostered or below.

Editor's Note: Our incredible team of writers won two writing awards and received 12 award nominations by the Fantasy Sports Writers Association. A big congrats to our very own Byron Lindeque (Golf) and Jordan McAbee (NASCAR) for both winning Writer Of The Year awards! Be sure to follow RotoBaller's analysis and advice all year long, and win more. Win More With RotoBaller!

Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups For Week 13

Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts - 58% rostered

Rookie Josh Downs was targeted 13 times in Indianapolis' 27-20 win over the Buccaneers. While he only caught five of those for 43 yards, that volume alone is notable. Downs is a really enticing young player and has flashed some big-play ability at times this season. Add him in all formats because if this increase in volume is real, he's going to have some big games down the stretch.

Jayden Reed, Green Bay Packers - 47% rostered

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed has scored a touchdown in three consecutive games. This week, he tied his career high in targets with eight, catching four of those for 34 yards and a score while also adding 16 rushing yards. His five carries in the past two games illustrate how the Packers want to get the ball in the young playmaker's hands. He's trending up and should be added in all formats.

Curtis Samuel, Washington Commanders - 28% rostered

Washington has surprisingly been the NFL's highest-volume passing attack, which has helped boost the value of all its receivers. This week, Curtis Samuel saw 12 targets, a new season high, and caught nine of those for 100 yards. On one hand, this is an encouraging sign going forward. On the other, we can't ignore that the two weeks before this, he combined for three catches and 11 yards. Samuel has the ability to be an electric player, but be aware of his low floor if you add him this week.

Demario Douglas, New England Patriots - 36% rostered

The good news? Demario Douglas remained the top option in the Patriots passing game even with the team trading off QBs during Sunday's loss to the Giants. He was targeted nine times, catching six passes for 49 yards. It was the fourth game in a row with at least seven targets.

The bad news? Douglas exited with a head injury, so it's possible he could wind up out against the Chargers in Week 13. Keep an eye on his status going forward.

Brandin Cooks, Dallas Cowboys - 56% rostered

Another strong showing for Brandin Cooks this week as he caught four passes for 72 yards and a touchdown in the team's 45-10 win over the Commanders. He's now scored a touchdown in three of the team's five games since their Week 7 bye, plus he had a touchdown the week before the bye as well. His floor remains relatively low as he's struggled to really record yards, but he's worth adding as a touchdown-dependent WR4 play.

Elijah Moore, Cleveland Browns - 42% rostered

For the first time since Week 3, Elijah Moore saw nine targets in Cleveland's 29-12 loss to the Broncos. He caught three of those for 44 yards. This is now three games in a row with seven or more targets for Moore, though his ceiling remains relatively low as he hasn't had more than 60 yards in a game. But hey -- three of his five highest yardage totals have come in the last three games, so Moore's pretty clearly trending up. He just suffers from the Browns passing attack having issues.

Wide Receiver Deeper League Pickups For Week 13

Greg Dortch, Arizona Cardinals - 2% rostered

Here's where I'm at with Greg Dortch: his recent uptick in usage matters, but I just don't know how much it matters until we see him with Michael Wilson healthy. With Wilson out the past two games, Dortch has 17 targets and nine receptions, catching his first touchdown of the season this week. Before these two games, he had two targets all year.

Kyler Murray's return has clearly had an impact on Dortch's performance, which is enough for me to add him in deep leagues, but I just can't get there yet in a 12-team league. Not until I see what his numbers look like once Wilson's back.

Jalin Hyatt, New York Giants - 3% rostered

Rookie Jalin Hyatt has had a couple of good games this year but didn't follow them up with big numbers. His first two games with 75 or more yards were both followed by a game with no receptions. This week, he had 109 receiving yards, a new career-best mark. Will it be a sign of things to come, or will the trend continue? The Giants have a bye next week so we'll have to wait for an answer.

Khalil Shakir, Buffalo Bills - 18% rostered

Last week, Khalil Shakir's increased usage made him an intriguing add, especially with Gabe Davis seeing no targets in the first game with Joe Brady as the team's OC. This week, Davis saw 12 targets, but Shakir was still involved, getting targeted five times and catching three passes for 47 yards. The Bills have a bye coming up, but Shakir is definitely an option in 14-team leagues at this point.

DeVante Parker, New England Patriots - 1% rostered

I don't think this Patriots offense can support multiple fantasy-relevant wide receivers, but with Demario Douglas suffering a head injury this week and a juicy matchup on deck against the Chargers next week, there's some upside to grabbing DeVante Parker off the wire. Don't think he does much if Douglas is active, but could see some targets if Douglas misses time.

Jonathan Mingo, Carolina Panthers - 5% rostered

I haven't really known what to think about Jonathan Mingo all season. He keeps getting targets, but he just hasn't really done a ton with those targets. Take the two games before this week -- Mingo was targeted 13 times but had just four catches for 26 yards.

However, this week he put things together, catching four of his six targets for 60 yards. Bryce Young likes to target him, but the production's just all over the place. He's worth a flyer in deep leagues just in case this game is a sign that he's finally figured things out.

Hunter Renfrow, Las Vegas Raiders - 1% rostered

Hunter Renfrow's two best games of the season by receiving yards have come in the past two games. Aidan O'Connell seems to like targeting the veteran receiver, and Renfrow is really good at making sure he brings in any pass thrown his way. He's a low-ceiling, high-floor option in 16-team leagues going forward, though the Raiders have a bye next week.
