Khalil Herbert is a 2023 fantasy football draft sleeper at running back and an ADP draft value. Target Herbert as an undervalued RB in fantasy football drafts.
BALLER MOVE: Target Around ~96 Overall
CURRENT ADP: ~111
ANALYSIS: With the departure of David Montgomery, Herbert is expected to lead Chicagos’ backfield in front of D’Onta Foreman and rookie RB Roschon Johnson.
Herbert has yet to get the opportunity to show that he’s a starting RB in the NFL, but has produced on an elite level when he has been on the field. The knock on Herbert has to do with him sharing touches with Foreman and Johnson. Fantasy managers are likely worried about Justin Fields stealing some rushing touchdowns, too.
But the former sixth-round pick racked up 731 rushing yards on just 129 carries last season while playing behind Montgomery. The starting back in what is potentially the best-rushing offense in the league is going too late in drafts, and it's a situation that should be taken advantage of in all formats. Even if he does cede some work to the other backs, this offense should be much improved and Herbert should have some big games that lead to spike weeks in production.
