The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on June 19, 2023. Casey Wilson's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

What a weekend filled with some genuinely fantastic baseball. I have been glued to college baseball all weekend, so stepping back and getting back into some MLB content is excellent. Believe it or not, we are less than a month away from the All-Star break. This season seems to be flying by. We have a game stack I am in love with tonight in one of the best-hitting parks in the big leagues.

I will cover the seven-game slate starting at 7:05 pm in this article. Today's slate has a pitching option that you cannot fade on both DraftKings and FanDuel. I will be starting my lineups there today and locking them in. There are a few options below $9,000 on either site outside of a dart on Osvaldo Bido, which I don't love. Paying for pitching will be a priority tonight, and shopping for some value stacks and one-offs will be the difference in winning or losing on tonight's slate.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/19/2023 and the slate locking at 7:05 pm ET. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

James Paxton, BOS vs. MIN ($ 9,300 DK, $10,200 FD)

James Paxton's resurgence after not pitching for two years has been fun to watch. He enters play today with the highest K rate (33.1%) of any pitcher going. Paxton also leads the slate with a 14.9% SwStr% and a 3.13 SIERA. He is the complete package here today.

Paxton will square off against the Minnesota Twins tonight. The Twins against left-handed pitching hold a 27.9% K%, suitable for the second-highest in baseball. They own an 85 wRC+, a .292 wOBA, and a .368 SLG. Paxton had a phenomenal matchup last week against the Rockies and did not disappoint. This spot here against the Twins is very similar. Paxton is going to eat in this matchup, don't fade him.

Max Scherzer, NYM at HOU ($8,800 DK, $9,000 FD)

SP2 tonight is going to be very tough to figure out. You can pay down and punt with Osvaldo Bido. I prefer going to the mid-range with an underpriced Max Scherzer or Pablo Lopez in a tough matchup. Scherzer enters play with a 5-2 record, 25.3% K%, 14.1% SwStr%, and a 3.85 SIERA. Over the last 30 days, Scherzer's strikeouts have been elite. He has a 31.3% K% and a 15.8% SwStr%.

The Astros are a tough matchup, but with no Yordan Alvarez in the lineup, it changes things. They own a 22.7% K%, 95 wRC+, .308 wOBA, and a .391 SLG against right-handed pitching this season. Scherzer has shown upside over the last six starts. He has scored over 20 fantasy points in four of those starts, including two 30-point performances. I love the upside for the price, even in a tough matchup tonight for Scherzer.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Matt McLain - 2B/SS, CIN vs. Austin Gomber ($4,700 DK, $3,800 FD)

The Reds are my favorite stack tonight, and McLain is my favorite bat in that stack. Austin Gomber leads the slate with a 2.16 HR/9. He has a .387 wOBA, .240 ISO, and a 47.4% hard-hit rate against righties. Since his call-up, McLain has a .456 wOBA and .294 ISO against lefties. McLain averages 8.19 fantasy points per game against the split.

Luke Maile - C, CIN vs. Austin Gomber ($2,300 DK, $2,300 FD)

Maile gets the same matchup tonight as Matt McLain. Maile has been smashing left-handed pitching all season, and his price is too low for this matchup. He will help us fit in my top two arms above with no problem when stacking the Reds. He owns a .454 wOBA and .346 ISO, averaging 6.22 fantasy points per game against left-handed pitching.

Corey Seager - SS, TEX vs. Jesse Scholtens  ($6,000 DK, $4,400 FD)

Jesse Scholtens leads tonight's slate with a 5.50 SIERA. He has a 2.89 ERA, so there is regression coming his way. Corey Seager owns a .465 wOBA and .333 ISO, averaging 6.04 fantasy points per game against right-handed pitching. My bet for Scholtens' regression will go through Corey Seager tonight.

 

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Randal Grichuk - OF, COL vs. Brandon Williamson ($3,900 DK, $2,900 FD)

I love the idea of game-stacking Great American Ball Park tonight. My Rockies stacks start with Randal Grichuk against Brandon Williamson. Williamson has a 5.40 SIERA, 1.99 HR/9, and a 39.2% hard-hit rate. He has been getting crushed by righties this season. He has a .371 wOBA, .294 ISO, and a 60.3% hard-hit rate. Grichuk has a .353 wOBA and .190 ISO, averaging 8.85 fantasy points per game against the split.

Jurickson Profar - OF, COL vs. Brandon Williamson ($3,700 DK, $2,800 FD)

Sticking with our game stack of Great American Ball Park, the next player in our lineups is Jurickson Profar. Profar gets the same favorable splits from the right side as Grichuk. Over his last 30 days, Profar has a .412 wOBA and .222 ISO, averaging 8.76 fantasy points per game against left-handed pitching.

Luis Robert Jr. OF, CWS vs. Andrew Heaney ($4,600 DK, $3,500 FD)

Robert Jr. will get the favorable split from the right side against Andrew Heaney. Heaney owns a 1.35 HR/9 and a 4.42 SIERA. He has a .339 wOBA, .200 ISO, and a 38.3% hard-hit rate against right-handed bats this season. Robert Jr. has a .517 wOBA and .367 ISO, averaging 5.75 fantasy points per game against left-handed pitching.

 

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Cincinnati Reds vs. Austin Gomber

The Reds will square off against Austin Gomber in Great American Ball Park tonight. Gomber leads tonight's slate with a 2.16 HR/9. He has a 5.37 SIERA, .309 BAA, and a 38.5% hard-hit rate. Both sides of the plate have hit Gomber.

He owns a .387 wOBA, .240 ISO, and a 47.4% hard-hit rate against righties. Against lefties, he holds a .447 wOBA, .333 ISO, and a 52.6% hard-hit rate. Great American Ball Park is one of the most hitter-friendly parks in the big leagues, and the Reds have some bats that can take advantage of Gomber's awful splits.
