DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/12/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

James Paxton - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on June 12, 2023. Casey Wilson's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

What a weekend filled with some genuinely awesome baseball. I have been glued to college baseball all weekend, so stepping back and getting back into some MLB content is excellent. Believe it or not, we are a month away from the all-star break. This season seems to be flying by. We have two offenses in smash spots tonight, and I will pair them in my main lineups while finding a way to fit my top two arms in.

I will cover the seven-game slate starting at 7:10 pm in this article. Today's slate has a pitching option that you cannot fade on both DraftKings and FanDuel. I will be starting my lineups there today and locking him in. There are a few options below $9,000 on either site outside of a dart on Matthew Liberatore, which I don't love. Paying for pitching will be a priority tonight, and shopping for some value stacks and one-offs will be the difference in winning or losing on tonight's slate.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 6/12/2023 and the slate locking at 7:10 pm ET. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Now that we got all that out of the way, it's onto the picks! DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

James Paxton, BOS vs. COL ($ 9,300 DK, $9,800 FD)

James Paxton is far and away the best option on today's slate. He enters play today with the highest K rate at 33.0% of any pitcher going. That mark is five percentage points higher than Jesus Luzardo and his 28.2% K. Paxton also leads the slate with a 14.6% SwStr. Paxton holds a 3.30 SIERA which is also good for the third lowest on today's slate. He is the complete package here today. He gets the best matchup of any pitcher by a wide margin.

Paxton will square off against the Colorado Rockies tonight. The Rockies against left-hand pitching away from Coors this season hold a 27.9% K, suitable for the top five in baseball. They own a 64 wRC+, a .267 wOBA, and a .325 SLG. To put this into perspective, everyone's favorite team to attack against left-hand pitching, rightfully so, is the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers this season own a 77 wRC+, .286 wOBA, and a .352 SLG. Paxton is going to eat in this matchup, don't fade him.

Jesus Luzardo, MIA at SEA ($9,600 DK, $9,500 FD)

I could have very easily written up Zach Eflin here in this section, but I decided to roll with what should be the lower-owned Zach Eflin instead. Luzardo is second on tonight's slate with a 28.2% K and his 13.4% SwStr. He owns a 3.50 SIERA with a 6.6% BB. He has gone over 21.9 fantasy points in three of his last five games and even had a ceiling game of 32.6 points his last time out.

He faces the Seattle Mariners, who surprisingly have struggled against his split this season. The Mariners are third in baseball with a 26.7% K against lefties. They own a 98 wRC+, .304 wOBA, and a .387 SLG. The upside is certainly there in this matchup, but some risk is involved. I do not think Luzardo will get much ownership compared to Eflin and Paxton, and the ceiling is just as high as either one making Luzardo the ultimate tournament play on tonight's slate.

Also consider: Zach Eflin and Matthew Liberatore

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Josh Jung - 3B, TEX vs. Tyler Anderson ($4,600 DK, $3,400 FD)

Josh Jung will face Tyler Anderson, who leads tonight's slate in SIERA. He has been atrocious against right-hand hitters this season, posting a .375 wOBA, .214 ISO, and a 39.3% FB. Jung owns a .447 wOBA and a .333 ISO, averaging 7.61 fantasy points a game against the split. I look for him to do damage tonight and even leave the yard.

Ezequiel Duran - 2B/SS/OF, TEX vs. Tyler Anderson ($3,200 DK, $2,900 FD)

Duran gets the same matchup tonight as Josh Jung. Duan has a .425 wOBA, and a .208 ISO, averaging 6.50 fantasy points a game. Duran is significantly cheaper than Jung and has the upside in this spot against Tyler Anderson. The position eligibility here makes him very intriguing, especially when paying up for pitching.

Alec Bohm - 1B/3B, PHI vs. Tommy Henry ($3,400 DK, $2,900 FD)

Alec Bohm will get a positive splits matchup tonight against Tommy Henry. Henry has a 5.58 SIERA and a 1.59 HR/9. He has a .317 wOBA, .200 ISO, and a 43.6% hard hit against right-handed bats this season. Since his return from the IL, Bohm has been underpriced and is a perfect one-off salary saver.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Luke Raley - 1B/OF, TB vs. James Kapriellian ($3,500 DK, $3,100 FD)

Luke Raley will face James Kapriellian and the Oakland bullpen tonight. Kapriellian owns a 5.19 SIERA and a 12.9% BB. He owns a .430 wOBA, .300 ISO, and a 55.2% hard-hit rate against left-hand batters. This season, Raley has smashed right-hand pitching to a .394 wOBA and a .315 ISO. The price and position eligibility allows us to pay up for pitching in our lineups, making him my favorite Tamba Bay Rays bat tonight.

Josh Lowe - OF, TB vs. James Kapriellian ($4,600 DK, $3,700 FD)

Josh Lowe will get the same matchup as Luke Raley tonight against a struggling James Kapriellian. Lowe owns a .388 wOBA and .253 ISO, averaging 7.86 fantasy points a game against right-hand pitching this season. I think Lowe leaves the yard tonight in Oakland.

Adam Duvall OF, BOS vs. Connor Seabold ($5,000 DK, $2,800 FD)

I want first to start and say on DraftKings, Duvall is very expensive. Although he is still playable there, he is very intriguing at the $2,800 price tag on FanDuel. Seabold has a 4.99 SIERA and a 1.32 HR/9. He has also shown reverse splits this season. He has a .369 wOBA, .212 ISO, and a 45.2% hard hit against righties this season. Duvall was smashing right-hand pitching before he was placed on the IL early this season. So far, in a limited sample size, he has a .570 wOBA, .517 ISO, averaging 8.50 fantasy points per game against right-hand pitching this season.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Texas Rangers vs. Tyler Anderson

Tyler Anderson leads tonight's slate with a 5.76 SIERA. He has a 10.7% BB and a 1.09 HR/9. The Texas Rangers are third in baseball with a 130 wRC+ against left-hand pitching. They have a .358 wOBA and a .462 SLG against the split. Anderson has a .375 wOBA, .214 ISO, and a 39.3% FB against right-hand hitters this season. As noted above, this Texas lineup is filled with right-handed bats that do a ton of damage against left-hand pitching. Anderson will put a lot of free runners on base, and this Texas lineup will make him pay tonight.

Favorite Plays: Josh Jung, Adolis Garcia, Ezequiel Duran, Jonah Heim, Mitch Garver, Corey Seager, Marcus Semien

2. Tampa Bay Rays vs. James Kaprielian

3. Boston Red Sox vs. Connor Seabold
