Yesterday we smashed a single-game parlay between Matthew Boyd and Zack Greinke. We don't always need to be flashy with our plays to profit. Today there are only two pitcher props I like, so that's where we will start, and let's see if we can hit a total bases prop two days in a row.

I'll provide my favorite prop bets for MLB games on Thursday, May 25, 2023, in this article. I will continue to hone in on K props first, as they are the most lucrative, and we will follow that with some total base props. MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks

Zach Eflin OVER 4.5 strikeouts (-155 DraftKings Sportsbook)

We start today with Zach Eflin, who has reformed his career in the Tampa Bay Rays pitching factory. Eflin enters today's start with a 3.01 SIERA, 28.4% K, 12.1% SwStr, and a 2.7% BB. He's attacking hitters with good stuff and not allowing many baserunners. He has five or more strikeouts in six of eight starts this season. He has stuck out eight or more in three of his last four starts. He is coming on late, and although it's a tough matchup, I love the number here at 4.5.

His matchup with Toronto is tough, but one that also sets up better for him for strikeouts. The Blue Jays are the seventh-best team in baseball against right-hand pitchers with a 21.7% K. The intriguing thing here is they will send at least five or six right-handed bats to the plate. Eflin this season has a 30.1% K against right-handed bats this season. We should be in excellent shape if we see Belt or Biggio in this lineup.

JP Sears 5+ strikeouts + Logan Gilbert 6+ strikeouts (-130 DraftKings Sportsbook)

How about another single-game parlay today since we crushed ours yesterday? JP Sears enters today with a 4.02 SIERA, 25.1% K, 12.3% SwStr, and a 4.9% BB. He has reached five or more strikeouts in five of his nine starts this season, including four of his last six. His opponent Logan Gilbert has a 3.05 SIERA, 30.6% K, 11.3% SwStr and a 4.9% BB. He has six or more strikeouts in eight of nine starts this season.

Both pitchers are in outstanding matchups for strikeouts. Sears will face the Seattle Mariners, who have a 27.2% K against left-hand pitching, the fourth worst in baseball. On the other hand, Gilbert will face the Oakland Athletics, who have a 26.4% K against right-hand pitching, last in baseball. Getting both pitchers for lower numbers in great strikeout matchups makes this my favorite bet of the night.

MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks

Juan Soto OVER 1.5 total bases (+115 DraftKings SportsBook)

Juan Soto will face righty Jake Irvin on the road against his old team. Irvin has 5.68 SIERA, 5.50 ERA, 38.5% FB, and a 38.5% hard hit. He is getting crushed by left-handed bats this season as well. He has allowed a .376 wOBA, .229 ISO, 52.6% FB, and a 42.1% hard-hit rate against the split.

This is where Juan Soto comes in, the best left-handed bat on the Padres. Soto has a .437 wOBA, .291 ISO, and a 48.3% hard hit against right-handed batters this season. The only thing he has not done well is hit the ball in the air, but when a ground ball hitter faces a fly ball pitcher, it negates that. I love this spot for Soto to achieve his total bases and hit a home run.
