DraftKings And FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (4/5/23): NBA DFS Lineups

NBA DFS sleepers and values plays for DraftKings and FanDuel on April 5, 2023. Juan Carlos Blanco gives you his top NBA DFS picks and lineup targets.

We're getting down to the final days of the regular season, but there are still postseason spots and positioning to be decided. Wednesday's eight-game slate should serve to clarify matters further, but thankfully for DFS purposes, there are still plenty of teams with something left to play for.

That much is reflected in Wednesday's point spreads, which includes four games with lines of six points or less as of Wednesday morning, as well as six games with projected totals greater than 230 points. We still have to tread carefully and keep up with last-minute news on which players are in or out even more than usual, however, as teams with their playoff position set could well be resting some players.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the respective main slates on DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/5/23. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineups lock, which is at 7:00 pm ET. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Russell Westbrook - PG, LAC vs. LAL ($8,900 DK, $8,700 FD)

Westbrook faces off against his most recent squad Wednesday, and with both L.A teams still having plenty to play for, he makes for an intriguing option and pivot from higher-salaried guards whose status is uncertain as of this writing.

Westbrook boasts a 26.7 percent usage rate and averages 44.4 DK/42.6 FD points per 36 minutes without Paul George (leg) on the floor, and he's averaging 40.5 DK points in his last five games while shooting 50.7 percent, including 40.9 percent from distance, over that span.

The Lakers are also allowing the ninth-highest offensive efficiency rating to point guards (27.7), along with 50.7  DK/50 FD points per contest to the position in the last seven games.

Spencer Dinwiddie - PG, BKN at DET ($8,000  DK, $8,000 FD)

The Nets are still trying to ensure a top 6 spot in the Eastern Conference, so Dinwiddie should be heavily involved against one of his former squads in the Pistons. The veteran guard is averaging just 40 fantasy points per game over his last 13 contests, a span during which he's eclipsed the 40-mark on DK alone on eight occasions.

The Pistons have allowed an Eastern Conference-high 28.9 offensive efficiency rating to point guards, along with over 50 fantasy points per game on either site in the last 30. Detroit is also surrendering an Eastern Conference-high 25.8 assists per home contest overall, furthering Dinwiddie's case in another important game for Brooklyn.

Kendrick Nunn - PG, WAS at ATL ($3,800 DK, $4,500 FD)

Nunn has been a revelation in the absence of multiple Wizards players recently, and with Washington now officially eliminated from the postseason, he should once again log ample run. The third-year pro enters Wednesday with four straight double-digit scoring efforts, as well as tallies of 49.8 DK/49.4 FD points in his most recent contest against the Bucks on Tuesday.

The Wizards are expected to keep Monte Morris (ankle), Bradley Beal (knee), Kyle Kuzma (ankle) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) out of action again Wednesday, and even Delon Wright (illness) may sit out another game.

All those absences could certainly once again add up to a busy night for Nunn against a Hawks team ranked No. 19 in offensive efficiency allowed to second-unit players (41.2), along with over 47 DK and over 45 FD points per game to the position in the last seven.

ALSO CONSIDER: Jaden Ivey - PG/SG, DET vs. BKN ($7,100 DK, $7,100 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Brandon Ingram - SF/SG, NOP vs. MEM ($9,900 DK, $9,900 FD)

Ingram's Pelicans are still trying to move into the top 6 in the Western Conference and the Grizzlies are still within reach of the top seed, making this matchup one that should remain highly competitive Wednesday. Ingram checks in as a virtual lock for over 40 fantasy points, having eclipsed that mark in 11 straight on DK and eight straight on FD.

The Grizzlies have allowed the sixth-most points per game to small forwards (24.4) in the last seven, along with over 42 fantasy points per game on either site to the position. Ingram's shot has been especially locked in of late -- he's drained 52.7 percent of his attempts in the 15 games he's played since March 1st -- making him a very viable option to invest in Wednesday.

Cameron Johnson - SF/PF, BKN at DET ($6,700 DK, $6,600 FD)

Johnson is another member of the Nets who could well overdeliver on his salaries Wednesday, especially considering the positional matchup. The young wing checks in running hot, having averaged over 30 fantasy points per contest in the last 11 games while shooting 49.2 percent, including 40.7 percent from three-point range.

The Pistons are also allowing the 10th-highest offensive efficiency rating to small forwards (23.2), along with the third-most DK (48.3) and third-most FD (48.2) points per game to the position. Detroit is also giving up elevated 37.4 percent shooting from three-point range at home and 41.0 percent over the last three games overall, elevating Johnson's outlook.

Keegan Murray - PF, SAC at DAL ($5,400 DK, $5,700 FD)

The Kings are one team that is more or less set in their postseason slot, although they technically still have a chance to move up to the No. 2 seed currently held by Memphis. Murray is a young player who head coach Mike Brown would undoubtedly like to see enter the playoffs with some momentum, which should help keep the rookie at a normal workload Wednesday.

Murray is already closing out the season with what might be his best stretch of play yet, as he's averaging 16.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists across his last 10 games while shooting an efficient 51.2 percent, including 47.6 percent from three-point range. The rookie has eclipsed 30 DK points on five occasions and 30 FD points in five instances as well in that span.

The Mavs have been susceptible to power forwards all season as well, allowing the third-highest offensive efficiency rating to the position (28.2), along with the most DK (57.8) and FD (56.1) points per game to fours in the last 15 games.

ALSO CONSIDER: LeBron James - PF/SF, LAL at LAC ($10,000  DK, $10,600  FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers  - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Anthony Davis - LAL at LAC ($10,900 DK, $11,600 FD)

Davis should once again handle a hefty role Wednesday as the Lakers try to vault into the top 6 at the expense of their opponent and intra-building rival. AD checks in already eclipsing 50 fantasy points with regularity, having done so most recently in five of the last six games on either site.

LeBron James was forced to play 38 minutes on his problematic foot Tuesday, so it wouldn't be entirely surprising based on recent history to see him either sit out or be limited, a development that would naturally boost Davis' prospects. The Clippers also already come in ranked No. 19 in offensive efficiency allowed to centers (32.4), along with the second-most DK (60.1) and FD (58.6) points per game to the position in the last seven.

Jonas Valanciunas - NOP vs. MEM ($7,500 DK, $7,700 FD)

Valanciunas has taken up his play several notches down the stretch, delivering averages of 17.1 points, 13.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.1 blocks across his last 10 games. The big man has hit the double-double bonus on eight occasions during that span and is shooting just over 56.0 percent in the sample as well.

Valanciunas now faces a depleted Grizzlies frontcourt he should be able to win his fair share of battles against. Memphis has unsurprisingly become more vulnerable down low the longer Steven Adams (knee) has been sidelined and checks in giving up over 58 DK and over 57 FD points to centers in the last 15, along with the third-most total rebounds per road game this season (54.2).

Ivica Zubac - LAC vs. LAL ($5,400 DK, $5,700 FD)

Zubac carries very appealing salaries for a player who has a ceiling well north of 30 fantasy points on both sites and that's already enjoyed success against the Lakers this season. The big man has scored at 28 /45.8 DK and 29.6 /45.9 FD points in two of three games versus the intra-city rival this season.

Zubac also checks in very well rested with the Clippers last having played Saturday, and he's averaging an impressive 13.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.0 block and 28.9 FD points across just 25.4 minutes per contest in the last 10. Meanwhile, the Lakers are allowing the sixth-highest offensive efficiency rating to centers (34.5), along with over 50 fantasy points per game to the position on either site in the last 15 contests.

ALSO CONSIDER: Xavier Tillman Sr. - MEM at NOP ($5,800); Mitchell Robinson - NYK at IND ($5,400 DK, $6,800 FD)
