Fantasy Football Injury Reports For NFL WRs: Week 6 Updates for Cooper Kupp, Tee Higgins, CeeDee Lamb, Chris Olave, Rashod Bateman

Cooper Kupp - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, Draft Targets

Fantasy football WR injury updates and injury reports for wide receivers for Week 6 (2022), as of 10/14, including Cooper Kupp, Tee Higgins, CeeDee Lamb, Chris Olave, and Rashod Bateman.

Welcome to Week 6 of the fantasy football season and the Saturday edition of our WR injury reports! Below you will find our fantasy football injuries report for wide receivers in Week 6 as of October 14th. The injury statuses for various NFL wide receivers are up in the air for Week 6, including Cooper Kupp, Tee Higgins, CeeDee Lamb, Chris Olave, and Rashod Bateman.

There are some big names on the injury report, with some already being ruled out for Week 6, so knowing exactly where each player stands going into the weekend is crucial. Being up-to-date on NFL injury news can give you an edge over your league mates in fantasy football.

To keep close tabs on all of the news across the NFL, make sure to favorite or bookmark the fantasy football player news page or download the free RotoBaller fantasy football mobile app with push notification alerts on all the latest news. Let's look at the updates for some wide receivers and see whether they may play in Week 6.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Cooper Kupp Injury Update

Cooper Kupp missed this past Wednesday's practice due to a foot injury but returned in a limited fashion on Thursday. The 29-year-old also practiced Friday and is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

Head coach Sean McVay said on Wednesday that Kupp was expected to play, making it likely that they are managing the veteran receiver's reps to keep him fresh. Kupp should be considered a top-three fantasy receiver this week and will have the chance to heal up next week during the team's bye.

Tee Higgins Injury Update

Tee Higgins was nothing more than a decoy last week during the Bengals matchup against the Ravens. This week, the 23-year-old receiver missed the first two practices, finishing out the week with a limited session. He is officially questionable for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.

Higgins may need a week to rest and recover. Thankfully for fantasy managers, the Bengals kick off at 1 PM ET, so you will know before games commence if you will need to pivot. With New Orleans missing Marshawn Lattimore, the team may pull out all the stops to keep Ja'Marr Chase in check, potentially leading to a nice fantasy output from Tyler Boyd.

CeeDee Lamb Injury Update

CeeDee Lamb popped up on the injury report last week with a groin injury, but it ended up being a non-factor as he suited up for last Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Rams. This week, the 23-year-old missed the final practice of the week with a hip injury and is now listed as questionable for Sunday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cowboys Vice President Stephen Jones told reporters, "He’s just working through a couple things there. Just felt like it was best for him not to practice today. We feel like he’ll get all that sorted out for the game.”

Popping up on the injury report with two separate injuries two weeks in a row is less than ideal, but it sounds like Lamb will give it a go regardless. Dallas plays Sunday night, so hopefully, we hear something positive about his status Saturday or early Sunday morning.

Chris Olave Injury Update

Chris Olave suffered a concussion when he hit the turf after catching a touchdown this past Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. The rookie receiver missed practice to open the week but was limited the next two days to close out the week. Olave is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Bengals.

Olave seems to be progressing well through the different phases of the concussion protocol but will need to jump past the final phase to be cleared to play Sunday. With Micheal Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) already ruled out, the Saints need the 22-year-old to play if possible. Were Olave to suit up, he would be a high-end WR2 who should be peppered with targets.

Rashod Bateman Injury Update

Rashod Bateman suffered a foot injury in Week 4 and has not been seen at practice for the past two weeks. The injury seems to be more serious than initially reported, and the 22-year-old has been ruled out for this Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

The Ravens do not have a bye until Week 10, so Bateman will need to participate in a limited fashion by at least Thursday next week to have a shot at returning in Week 7. Baltimore's passing attack has suffered since the sophomore receiver has been sidelined, but expect Devin Duvernay to continue to see an increased target share while Bateman is out.

Micheal Thomas Injury Update

Michael Thomas did not practice in any capacity last week due to a toe injury he suffered in Week 3. The 29-year-old failed to log any practice time this week either and has officially been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Since Thomas has not been placed on IR, the Saints must believe he will return to practice sooner rather than later. With that said, he has missed the past two weeks of practice and should be considered out until he finds a way to participate in at least a limited fashion. Jarvis Landry (ankle) will also miss this game, potentially leading to a large target share for rookie Chris Olave (concussion) if he is given the green light.

Jakobi Meyers Injury Update

Jakobi Meyers returned to the field for the first time last week since injuring his knee in Week 2. The 25-year-old was limited all week in practice, just like he was last week, and is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Cleveland.

Meyers following the same practice schedule as last week leaves him in line to start Sunday. The fourth-year receiver had a strong fantasy performance in his return last week, catching seven passes for 111 yards and a touchdown. He should be considered a high-end WR3 against Cleveland.

Jarvis Landry Injury Update

Jarvis Landry missed last week's game against the Seattle Seahawks due to an ankle injury. While he was a limited participant all week last week, he did not progress enough to play. The 29-year-old has failed to make an appearance on the practice field this week and has officially been ruled out for Sunday's game against Cincinnati.

It sounds like Landry has suffered a potential setback in his recovery, leaving his availability for Week 7 unknown. You should plan to be without him for at least one more week. Marquez Callaway and Tre'Quan Smith should see an increase in snap share while Landry is out.

Zay Jones Injury Update

Zay Jones made his return to the field last week against Houston after missing Week 4 due to an ankle injury. The 27-year-old was limited throughout the week at practice and is officially labeled as questionable for Sunday's game against the division-rival Indianapolis Colts.

Because Jones was able to suit up last Sunday, there is little reason to believe he will not do so this week. The sixth-year receiver was targeted eight times last week and should be in for another healthy target share in Week 6. If active, Jones is a viable FLEX option.

Wan'Dale Robinson Injury Update

Wan'Dale Robinson has been sidelined with a knee injury since the season opener. The rookie was able to put in limited work at practice last week but still did not make his return. After a full week of limited practice participation this week, Robinson is listed as officially questionable for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Kadarius Toney (ankle) and Kenny Golladay (knee) have already been ruled out, leaving an opening for Robinson to dominate the target share in his return. He is a very risky FLEX option for those who are desperate for a player to start this week, but the matchup is good enough for him to warrant your attention. If possible, consider stashing the 21-year-old before having to fight for him on waivers next Tuesday.

Christian Watson Injury Update

Christian Watson reaggravated his lingering hamstring injury this past week against the New York Giants and is slated to miss an extended period of time. The rookie was officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the New York Jets on Friday.

Rookie Romeo Doubs will continue to operate as the Packers' No. 2 wide receiver opposite Allen Lazard while Watson is out. It is entirely possible Watson will not be featured as the No. 2 option until the tail-end of the season if he can not stay healthy. He is safe to drop in all redraft leagues.

Julio Jones Injury Update

Julio Jones missed last week's matchup against the Falcons due to a lingering knee injury. The veteran receiver did not suit up for practice in any capacity this past week and is officially listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Buccaneers said they were going to use a long-term view when it comes to Jones' health, leaving his status for Week 7 a true mystery. With no real timetable for his return, Jones can be dropped in the majority of leagues.

Marvin Jones Jr. Injury Update

Marvin Jones Jr. popped up on the injury report late in the week, listed with a hamstring injury. The 32-year-old had just put up his best fantasy performance of the season last week, catching seven passes for 104 yards. The veteran receiver is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts.

The last-minute addition to the injury report with a hamstring injury is extremely concerning for his status this Sunday. In all likelihood, the 11-year veteran will be limited in some capacity if he does suit up, making him an easy fade this week. Zay Jones (ankle) should see a slight target bump if he can be cleared to play.

Robbie Anderson Injury Update

Robbie Anderson was listed on the final injury report this week with an illness. The 29-year-old receiver did participate on a limited basis this week and is officially labeled as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

Anderson has had success in the past with former college teammate P.J. Walker under center, but the matchup with LA is not a favorable one. The veteran receiver is a fade for Week 6.

Kenny Golladay Injury Update

Kenny Golladay missed last week's game against the Packers due to a knee injury he suffered in Week 4. The 28-year-old did not participate in practice this week and was officially ruled out on Friday for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Golladay has not caught a pass since Week 1 and should not be in consideration for any fantasy manager even when he returns. Rookie Wan'Dale Robinson looks to be the main beneficiary of Golladay's absence.

Kadarius Toney Injury Update

Kadarius Toney looked to be on track to play last week after recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 2. However, the sophomore receiver hurt the hamstring in his opposite leg, leading to no practice participation this week. He was ruled out Friday.

The 23-year-old can not seem to catch a break and is in danger of missing more than just this Sunday's matchup against Baltimore. Other than rookie Wan'Dale Robinson, there are no viable fantasy options to hold onto that are a part of the Giants' wide receiver corps.
