Major League Baseball and the players union have agreed that a 14-pitcher maximum will be in place from May 2-29, as the two sides continue to prioritize player health. It will replace the previous plan to go down to a 13-pitcher maximum on May 2. Active MLB rosters will be reduced from 28 players down to 26 players on May 2, but teams will still be allowed to carry 14 pitchers for the second month of the season. With a shortened spring training and COVID-19 concerns, it makes sense for the league to allow an extra pitcher for another month.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
