BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 55% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The game between the Jaguars and the Cowboys went to OT and that helped, only that much. What I'm saying is that some numbers got a bit boosted, of course, but that doesn't take from the great outcomes put together in regulation by seemingly everyone on the Jags field donning Jacksonville threads.
Trevor Lawrence threw four TDs, three skill-position players broke the 12-PPR barrier, and Zay Jones (who else) went for a monster 34.9 PPR points himself. No need to mention that outcome is a season-high mark for Jones and a bonafide WR1 type of score.
Jones caught six-of-eight targets for 109 yards... and three (!!!) TDs against Dallas. Of course, the three scoring plays are definitely an outlier, but even then we'd be talking about a very palatable 22.9 PPR tally had he only scored one. That's something you can definitely live with entering Week 16, let alone if it's available for free in nearly half of all Yahoo! leagues.
I'm saying that because barring a bumpy Week 13 game against the Lions (3.6 PPR), Jones has been an absolute destroyer of souls in four of the past five games he's played. He's scored top-25 points in all of those, ranging from 14.8 PPR points to last Sunday's 34.9.
Jones has caught at least six passes in four of those five games, he's been targeted 7+ times in each of them, and barring that stupid game at Detroit, he's put up at least 68 yards in all of them, too. He's scored touchdowns in back-to-back games now, and in those couple of outings, he's caught 14 total passes for a combined 186 yards and four TDs.
Don't hesitate and add Jones in all leagues barring the shallowest of them. Other than those, Jones should be a must-roster in all leagues, and a must-start player ROS in any format past 10 teams.
