Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups - Week 14

Justin Carter's fantasy football wide receiver waiver wire pickups for Week 14 of the 2020 NFL season. These are free agent WRs to add, stream and stash.

It's Week 14. You know what that means, right?

Fantasy football playoff time! And to get you ready for those playoffs, we've got some wide receiver waiver wire pickup options to help bolster your postseason rosters and find success in your leagues.

Anyway, let's talk waiver wire options at wide receiver. Not all options are the same. Some players may be better in PPR or deeper leagues, so it’s not a one-size-fits-all comparison. Use your best judgment when deciding which of these players is the right fit for your roster. Check out our Waiver Wire Adds for Week 14 for help at all the skill positions. All players on this list here are around 30% rostered or below, with some exceptions

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

T.Y. Hilton, Indianapolis Colts

45% rostered

Is...is he back? Or was it just that the matchup with Houston helped jog Hilton's memory of how to be a high-level NFL producer?

It's probably a good idea to not get too excited, but we also can't ignore that Hilton was targeted 11 times, catching eight of them for 110 yards and a score. That kind of volume on a day when the other wide receivers on the team combined for seven targets catches your eye.

Hilton's also now scored touchdowns in consecutive games and has appealing matchups the next two weeks against the Raiders and Texans again.

Nelson Agholor, Las Vegas Raiders

40% rostered

He didn't do a ton with the targets, but Agholor had 11 targets, more than Hunter Renfrow and Henry Ruggs III combined. His 38 yards were fewer than both guys had, though, so you don't need to rush out and grab Agholor as your first or second priority. He's got upside as long as you're treating him like a WR4/5 player and not a top-30 option.

Henry Ruggs III, Las Vegas Raiders

32% rostered

Sticking with the Raiders for a second, we can talk about Ruggs, who was having a disappointing day until a 46-yard touchdown to win the game helped him finish with three catches for 84 yards. He has nine targets over the last two games and two of his three highest yardage totals, so on the surface, it looks like Ruggs is trending up right now. His speed makes him a threat anytime he's on the field, though Derek Carr ranking 20th in air yards per attempt is a good explanation for why that speed hasn't always turned into production for the rookie.

Keke Coutee, Houston Texans

26% rostered

I think Coutee was at 1% rostered a week ago, but this is what happens when Will Fuller V gets suspended, Kenny Stills gets waived, and Randall Cobb gets hurt. Coutee was targeted nine times, catching eight passes for 141 yards. He blew past his previous season high of two catches for 17 yards, and while we can't expect this level of production each week for Coutee, we can expect him to continue playing a key role moving forward. Coutee is a must add in all formats.

Tim Patrick, Denver Broncos

21% rostered

Drew Lock was back this week, and he threw two touchdowns to Tim Patrick, who ended up with four receptions for 44 yards. Ignoring last week's disaster, this marks the fourth game in a row Patrick has at least four receptions, and with Carolina on deck for next week, he's got some FLEX appeal in 14-team leagues.

Rashard Higgins, Cleveland Browns

8% rostered

The Browns offense put a beating on the Titans, and Higgins was a big part of that, catching six of his nine targets for 95 yards and a touchdown. He hadn't seen more than four targets since Week 7 though, so we can't assume that this is a sign of a breakout for him, but with playoff matchups against both the Giants and the Jets, there's reason to keep an eye on Higgins in deeper leagues.

Russell Gage, Atlanta Falcons

7% rostered

Is Gage back? He was 25 targets in three games since the bye week, and on Sunday he scored his first touchdown since Week 2. With a porous Chargers Defense on the docket next week, Gage could be a viable FLEX play in a 14-team league, though the rest of his fantasy playoff schedule isn't quite so appealing.

Greg Ward Jr., Philadelphia Eagles

3% rostered

It looks like Jalen Hurts might be Philly's new quarterback, and he seemed to like looking Ward's way in this one, with Ward catching a 32-yard touchdown. Ward finished with three catches for 57 yards. While next week's matchup against the Saints is tough, upcoming games against Arizona and Dallas could be big for Ward if Hurts is starting then.

Chad Hansen, Houston Texans

0% rostered

Who? I guess it was Hansen who took the place of Fuller in the lineup, and in his first action of the season, he was targeted seven times, catching five for 101 yards. I guess anyone can be good with Deshaun Watson throwing the football? Hansen's unlikely to repeat this performance, but if you need to add someone in a deep league who has some intrigue about him, Hansen's an option.

Quintez Cephus, Detroit Lions

0% rostered

Kenny Golladay (hip) last played in Week 8 and I'm not sure what to expect about his potential to return in the near future. And with the Lions cutting Marvin Hall this week, their wide receiver room is looking shallow.

Cephus had 10 Week 1 targets, then faded out of view, but on Sunday we saw him catch two passes for 61 yards and a score while being targeted four times. I don't really think I'd pick Cephus up in most formats right now, but there's some streaming value in deep leagues if Golladay misses next week's game against the Packers.
