Fantasy Football Trade Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider trading for or trading away heading into Week 10:
Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos
Trade Value: 53.4
ROS Rank: 39
Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton faced a lot of resistance in Sunday morning's game against the Houston Texans, ending with just one catch for a 30-yard touchdown in Sunday's 18-15 win. In what we knew would be a heavily defensive matchup, Sutton was second on the team in targets with six as the Texans' defense made it a point to blanket cover Sutton, as he was the targeted receiver on quarterback Bo Nix's lone interception for the day.
Broncos wide receiver Troy Franklin would end up leading the team in targets again this week with 10, which marks two straight weeks that Sutton was out-targeted by the latter. With weekly touchdown upside, Sutton should look to produce more in a division rival matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10.
Verdict: Buy low if possible; better days ahead, given his role as the red zone threat on the offense
Jaylen Warren, RB, Steelers
Trade Value: 53.9
ROS Rank: 36
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren handled 16 carries for 31 yards and two touchdowns while adding two catches for minus-two yards in Sunday's win over the Indianapolis Colts. Warren found the end zone twice on the day for the first time in his career, but was bottled up on his touches otherwise.
The 16 carries were also tied for the second most Warren had ever had in a game, but it was one of his most inefficient outings as the Colts' run defense shut off rushing lanes. The 27-year-old has established himself as the Steelers' workhorse and a focal point of their offense.
Aaron Rodgers frequently looks for him on checkdowns, where Warren is electric after the catch. Warren should continue to project as a high-end RB2 for fantasy in the coming weeks.
Verdict: High-end RB2 that could still be acquired at a reasonable price
Ashton Jeanty, RB, Raiders
Trade Value: 58.9
ROS Rank: 32
Las Vegas Raiders rookie first-round running back Ashton Jeanty had another mediocre performance on the ground in the team's Week 9 overtime loss to the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, but he salvaged his day for fantasy managers by catching all five of his targets for 47 yards and a touchdown through the air. On the ground, Jeanty handled a team-high 13 carries for 42 yards (3.2 yards per carry).
The 21-year-old was able to bounce back coming out of the bye week after he had a season-low six carries for 21 yards and only one catch for 13 yards in the Week 7 blowout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. It's been slow going for Jeanty the last three games behind a shaky Raiders offensive line, and things won't get any easier on a short week on Thursday Night Football against a stout Denver Broncos defense in Week 10.
Through his first eight NFL games, Jeanty has three rushing scores and three receiving touchdowns.
Verdict: Sell high if you can; his touchdown upside will remain limited by his weak offensive line and poor offensive environment
Drake London, WR, Falcons
Trade Value: 64.8
ROS Rank: 24
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London caught nine of his 14 targets for 118 yards and three touchdowns during Sunday's Week 9 loss against the New England Patriots. London had an impressive game despite playing against a strong Patriots secondary featuring Christian Gonzalez, Marcus Jones, and Carlton Davis. Not only did he set a new season-high in fantasy points, but he also had his first multi-touchdown showing of the year.
London accounted for the bulk of Atlanta's scoring and gave them a chance to tie the game late, but kicker Parker Romo missed an extra point to keep the Falcons in a one-point deficit that they did not overcome. London is a mid-to-high WR1 heading into Week 10 against the Indianapolis Colts.
Verdict: Buy-high candidate. London will continue to carry the WR1 upside going forward.
Fantasy Football Trade Rankings Values
The higher the Trade Value number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Find your players, add up the trade values of each side of the offer, and see which side of the trade wins.
Who Should I Trade For?
Week 10 Trade Decisions. Today's focus is on specific players - Kimani Vidal, Jaylen Warren, Courtland Sutton, Ashton Jeanty, Drake London, Brian Thomas Jr., Woody Marks. These are some key fantasy football names heading into this week's matchups.
Using The Trade Values. This is a simple trade value tool, but very powerful. In our fantasy football trade value rankings above, you will see the Trade Value for each player. The higher the number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Players with a high trade value number are players that you should be targeting more in trades.
How It Works. Each week, our RotoBaller staff puts together their weekly fantasy football rankings, projections, and trade values based on their research. That information is the core data that is powering the decision-making in this trade value rankings.
How To Calculate Trades. Fantasy football managers will make 1-for-1 trades, or 2-for-3 trades, or 3-for-2 trades, or many other combinations. For each side of the deal, add the trade values together. Whichever side has a higher total number wins the trade. For example, if someone is offering you three players, add the trade values of those three players together. Does the value of those three players exceed the values of the player(s) you are trading away? If so then it's a good deal for you.
