Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 5:
Jeremiyah Love, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur said on Monday that the ankle that was giving rookie first-round running back Jeremiyah Love (ankle) discomfort in Sunday's loss to the New York Giants is not the same ankle from the sprain he suffered in the preseason, according to Dani Sureck of the team's official website. The 21-year-old suffered a high-ankle sprain back in August in the early portion of spring training and did not play again until the start of the 2026 regular season.
Love limped off the field late in Sunday's game and never returned, finishing with 14 carries for 63 yards while catching his only target for a loss of eight yards. Love has been splitting backfield work with Tyler Allgeier to begin the season, with James Conner (foot) on Injured Reserve and Trey Benson (knee) done for the season. He has not scored since his NFL debut in the Week 1 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, and he has averaged 4.1 yards per carry for 223 rushing yards on his 55 attempts in his first four games.
Love has added 11 receptions for 36 yards and another score through the air. We should have a better idea of his status for Week 5 once the Cardinals resume practicing on Wednesday. If Love should miss any time, Allgeier would essentially become a must-start in fantasy.
Makai Lemon, Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Makai Lemon had a much cleaner path to targets Sunday, but it did not lead to a breakout. With DeVonta Smith, Hollywood Brown and Dallas Goedert all inactive, Lemon drew a season-high six targets and finished with three catches for 27 yards in the 24-20 loss to the Rams.
Philadelphia's offense was a mess overall, managing only 172 total yards, so Lemon was hardly alone. Still, Darius Cooper caught both of Jalen Hurts' touchdown passes while Lemon was held below 30 receiving yards for the fourth straight game. He now has 10 catches for 65 yards without a touchdown this season. The increased targets were at least something to build on, but this was the kind of opening Lemon needed to turn into more. Instead, his fantasy value remains stuck after another quiet afternoon.
Kenyon Sadiq, New York Jets
New York Jets rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq has been a focal point of the team's passing attack, despite a quiet Week 4 performance in the 23-12 loss to the Chicago Bears. In four games to start his NFL career, Sadiq has hauled in 12 of 18 targets for 143 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 8.2 half-PPR fantasy points per game.
With Mason Taylor (thumb) inactive, Sadiq played 22 of 32 snaps (69%), ran 12 of 18 routes (67%), and led the team in targets (4). With the Jets dominated by the Bears in Week 4, it was nearly impossible for any player to produce with only 32 offensive snaps. With no timetable for Taylor's return, Sadiq will remain a focal point in New York's offense and should be rostered in all formats despite the tough outing.
Carnell Tate, Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans lost yet another game, this time to the Baltimore Ravens by a score of 18-24. But rookie wide receiver Carnell Tate finally produced like a WR1, racking up 145 receiving yards with nine receptions on 12 targets. Tate has been getting open with regularity through his first three games, but the ineffectiveness of quarterback Cam Ward and the lackluster production of the offense have held him back. The Ravens have a strong secondary, but Tate proved why he was a first-round draft pick by getting open at all levels of the field.
His target, reception, and yard totals were a season-high for him and are good news for the future. He fumbled the ball twice and lost one of those fumbles, so there are areas of his game he can clean up. But he's excellent at slamming on the brakes, which helped him get wide open on multiple catches. He also made strong grabs in tight coverage. A Week 5 matchup with the Houston Texans may make it tough for him to have another big game upcoming, but things are looking up for the rookie as a WR3/flex with upside.
