Week 4 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 4:
Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in Week 4. Burrow completed 28 of his 37 pass attempts (76%) for 286 yards and three touchdowns in the 27-30 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite putting up his best fantasy performance of the season, Burrow and the Bengals walked away with their first loss of the year last week.
Cincinnati may have a difficult time getting back in the win column this week at home against the Jaguars. The Jacksonville defense has held opposing offenses to 10 points or fewer in two of their three games this season while racking up eight sacks and four interceptions. The Jaguars offense has also been potent to start the year, scoring about 27 points per game through three games.
Burrow and the high-powered Bengals offense will have their hands full in this matchup, but should still be able to put up points in what could turn into a high-scoring game.
This game is tied for the week's highest over/under, set at 51.5 points as of Friday. Even with a difficult matchup, Burrow is ranked QB5 in our RotoBaller Week 4 rankings. Fantasy managers should be excited for the potential of this game turning into a back-and-forth affair.
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott will face the best defense in the NFL from a year ago in Week 4. The Cowboys will go on the road to take on the Houston Texans, who have one of the NFL's best pass rushers, one of its best cover cornerbacks, and a renowned defensive-minded head coach.
Prescott hasn't faced the Texans since 2022, when they were nothing like the team they are today, so we don't have much precedent to go off of. But he's been productive so far this year, with seven passing touchdowns to just one interception.
He hasn't fumbled yet either. Taking care of the football will be crucial, as the Texans were third in the NFL in 2025 with 29 turnovers forced. Prescott is a must-start in 2QB and superflex leagues, but there's reason for some trepidation in 1QB leagues, where he's a low-end QB1 because of the difficult matchup.
Bo Nix, Denver Broncos
It hasn't always been pretty for Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix this season, but he is coming off his most productive outing of the year during a Week 3 win over the Los Angeles Rams. Nix totaled three touchdowns (2 pass, 1 rush) in the win over the Rams, also finishing a solid performance with 186 yards passing and his third interception of the year.
Nix is RotoBaller's 15th-ranked quarterback in Week 4 and is projected to score 17 fantasy points against San Francisco, which allowed Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett to throw for 280 yards and two touchdowns last week.
Drake Maye, New England Patriots
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has endured a nightmare start to the season so far, and he's falling all the way to QB18 in RotoBaller's latest fantasy football rankings for Week 4. Maye had an extremely ugly stat line last week, including 199 passing yards and three turnovers, and he'll now head into an even tougher all-around matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills' defense has been near the middle of the league this year, but we're more concerned about their elite offense and how that might speed Maye up or force him to attempt more passes on Sunday afternoon.
If Maye can't keep pace with Josh Allen's squad early, it could be another long day in terms of turnovers and overall scoring. It also doesn't help that the MVP runner-up has been depleted of his top weapon, as he'll go at least two more weeks with AJ Brown (ankle) is available. Between the tough divisional matchup and a weakened supporting cast, Maye can be benched in most single-quarterback leagues this week, even if you're replacing him in the lineup with someone you added off the waiver wire.
