Who Should I Start for Fantasy Football Week 17? Kimani Vidal, Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston

Quentin Johnston - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Who should I start for Week 17? Fantasy football outlooks for Kimani Vidal, Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.

The Los Angeles Chargers will take on the New England Patriots in Week 17, and running back Kimani Vidal and wide receivers Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston are three heavily rostered players that fantasy managers will consider starting.

Due to injuries, the shifting game plans of the offense, and other factors, each player's production has waxed and waned over the course of the season, so fantasy managers in various sizes of leagues are probably wondering who they should put in their starting lineups based on their league size.

We'll try to answer those questions for you below.

Should I Start Kimani Vidal for Fantasy Football?

The RB room is a mess for LA right now. Running back Gus Edwards (ankle) had his first big game last week, only to be ruled out of Week 17 with an ankle injury. Meanwhile, the team's RB1, J.K. Dobbins (knee) was officially listed as "Questionable" for Saturday's contest.

If Dobbins doesn't play, the backfield will be an odd committee between Vidal and Hassan Haskins. That might give the rookie a chance at having a serviceable day in full-PPR scoring formats, as he's been used sparingly as a receiver at times.

If Dobbins plays, Vidal has virtually zero value. But if the RB1 can't go, Vidal is still only worth starting in very deep PPR leagues, like those with 16 or more teams or deep rosters.

UPDATE: Dobbins was activated from IR and will play. Vidal is not worth starting in any leagues due to this now.

Should I Start Ladd McConkey for Fantasy Football?

Yes. There is no reason to bench him. He's the team's clear WR1, and his play speaks for itself. He hasn't failed to exceed 14 PPR fantasy points in all of his last five games played. He's a solid WR2 this week. Don't overthink it.

He's great. There's not much else to analyze here. Fire him up.

Should I Start Quentin Johnston for Fantasy Football?

Nobody seems to pinball more between having solid, serviceable games and being nonexistent. Johnston was the latter in Week 16, catching three of six targets for a meager 18 yards. That's not something you can trust in. He's caught eight TDs this year, and that's where all his value comes from.

The drop issues have continued to haunt him. We wouldn't trust him outside of very, very deep leagues. There's some nice TD upside, but it's impossible to predict.
