Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow has been one of the best offensive players in the NFL since entering the league in 2020. The former LSU Tiger has posted 14,083 receiving yards, 97 touchdowns, and just 37 interceptions in 52 games played.
Unfortunately, the 26-year-old banged up his wrist, which resulted in him exiting the game in Thursday night's loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Fantasy managers are surely wondering when the quarterback is expected to return.
When is Burrow coming back to action? What is his fantasy football outlook when he returns? Let's dive in.

Joe Burrow Latest Injury Update - November 17
Joe Burrow (wrist) will miss the rest of the season after reportedly tearing a ligament in his right wrist in the Thursday night loss to the Baltimore Ravens. It's a monumental blow to the Bengals and fantasy managers. This marks the second injury Burrow has had in 2023, as he begun the season dealing with a calf injury.
Joe Burrow Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Burrow originally suffered his wrist injury in the Week 11 loss to the Ravens. He exited the game in the first half and did not return. The next day, the Bengals made the report that the star quarterback will have to miss the remainder of the NFL season as he reportedly tore a ligament in his wrist.
Cincinnati's chances of making the playoffs have become even more slim now without Burrow under center, and the team will now have to rely on Jake Browning, who finished Thursday night's contest with 68 passing yards and one touchdown.
Joe Burrow Fantasy Football Outlook
Needless to say, Burrow will have zero fantasy impact for the remainder of the season as the franchise quarterback has been listed as out for the remainder of the 2023 season. Burrow will begin the recovery process as soon as possible and will look to be ready for the start of the 2024 NFL season.
While he's out, 27-year-old quarterback Jake Browning will be the primary starter. Wideouts Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd find themselves as less valuable options moving forward without their star quarterback.
Unfortunately, Burrow can be dropped in redraft leagues as his 2023 season is over.
