NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 12/23/22

We have a busy Friday with nine games. Several matchups will be intriguing to follow throughout the night. I will do my best to navigate you through a heavy Friday slate which starts at 7:00 PM EST.

Vegas Odds for the Day

NHL DFS Goalies

Pyotr Kochetkov- DK $8.5K | FD $8.5K

Opponent - Philadelphia Flyers

Should the 23-year-old get the start, he allowed just one goal on 38 shots in Tuesday's 4-1 win versus New Jersey. Kochetkov has been unbeatable of late, with a 7-0-2 record in his last nine games. The Russian netminder is sporting a 1.94 goals-against-average, and a .928 save percentage. He's posted a 10-1-4 record with three shutouts. Carolina is unbeaten in seven games and has a 9-3-1 record at home. They are hosting Philadelphia, who lost 4-3 to Toronto last night. The Flyers sit in second to last place in the Eastern Conference with 29 points.

Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Jacon Markstrom (DK $8.3K | FD $7.4K), Linus Ullmark (DK $8.3K | FD $7.8K)

NHL DFS Centers

Connor McDavid -DK $9.7K | FD $10.4K

Opponent - Vancouver Canucks

McDavid scored a goal during Wednesday's 6-3 win over Dallas. The centerman extended his point streak to an NHL-best 14 games. He's averaging 1.92 points per game which is a career-high for the centerman. The last time Edmonton played Vancouver, McDavid put on a show, logging four points on October 12th. For DFS players McDavid should be picked anytime he steps on the ice, as he leads the NHL with 65 points.

Jack Hughes -DK $8.0K| FD $9.0 K

Opponent - Boston Bruins

Despite New Jersey's struggles of late, Jack Hughes has still been producing points consistently. Hughes has at least a point in the last 12 of 13 Devils contests. In addition, he leads the Devils by a wide margin in shots on goal with 136. New Jersey has a tough matchup against Boston, but the centerman could easily continue to produce shots on goal and put points on the scoresheet.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Roope Hintz (DK $7.1K | FD $8.5K), Nazem Kadri (DK $6.9K| FD $7.2K)

NHL DFS Wings

Jason Robertson -DK $8.6K | FD $10.oK

Opponent - Montreal Canadiens

Robertson logged an assist and six shots on goal in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Oilers. The 23-year-old winger has 24 tallies, 24 helpers, and 141 shots on goal in 34 Dallas games. Dallas is at home against Montreal, who is 7-9-0, as a visiting team.

David Pastrnak -DK $8.9K| FD $10.2K

Opponent - New Jersey Devils

Pastrnak has been on fire, all season long. He has a ten-game point streak going into Friday's game against New Jersey. The Czech Republic winger has logged seven points in the last five contests. Boston has yet to play New Jersey this season. Regardless of the game's outcome, Pastrnak should be able to contribute offensively.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Leon Draisaitl (DK $8.5K | FD $10.1K), Mikko Rantanen (DK $8.0K| FD $10.1K)

NHL DFS Defensemen

Roman Josi- DK $8.4 | FD $8.3K

Opponent - Colorado Avalanche

Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi recorded a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win against Chicago on Wednesday. The veteran defenseman had six shots on goal. The perennial all-star defenseman has been a consistent offensive contributor throughout his career. He scored one goal in two earlier games against Colorado.

Cale Makar- DK $7.5K | FD $7.6K

Opponent - Nashville Predators

Makar had a power-play assist, four shots on goal, one hit, and two blocked shots in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime win over the Canadiens. He now has seven goals and 22 assists in 31 games. The Alberta native has a goal and two assists in two games against the Predators this season

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): John Carlson (DK $7.1K | FD $7.1K), Josh Morrissey (DK $6.2K | FD $7.2K)

Stacks of the Day

  • EDM1:Draisaitl-McDavid-Hyman
  • DAL1:Robertson-Hintz-Pavelski
  • BOS2:Hall-Krejci-Pastrnak
