Sweet Sixteen CBB DFS Lineup Picks (3/25/16): Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice for FanDuel

As we move into the second day of the Sweet 16, there are a few teams with very contrasting styles that will be interesting to see play out.

As always it is a good idea to avoid defenses such as Virginia and Wisconsin.

Without further delay, below are our favorite Sweet 16 Daily Fantasy College Basketball picks for FanDuel DFS games for March 25th, 2016.

CBB DFS Guards to Target on FanDuel

Top Plays Malcolm Brogdon ($8,700)

It will be tough to not give a good look at all of the Virginia players for their game against Iowa State. This is going to be one of the most up in pace games they will play all year, and their players are priced at their low pace value. Brogdon is in play for cash and GPP’s as he has over 30 fantasy points in seven of 10 games and only going under 20 one time. It is a good idea to avoid anyone for Iowa State or Notre Dame for top end guard plays as their defense is too solid. Other top plays include Marcus Paige and Yogi Ferrell.

Mid Tier: Malachi Richardson ($6,000)

The top mid-tier play comes down to Richards or Gonzaga’s Kyle Dranginis. Richardson is the choice as he possesses 30 fantasy point upside due to his solid all-around game and huge minutes floor. In his last 10 outings Richardson has played at least 34 minutes in nine of them and posted at least 10 points in eight and a steal in all 10. Dranginis is the top shooter for the Zags, which is always dangerous against a zone defense, however only has double figures in scoring in three of the last 10 games. Both of these plays are more in the GPP mold as both could fall short of expectation.

Value: Nick Zeisloft ($4,500)

Assuming Robert Johnson sits this game out with his ankle injury, Zeisloft becomes a viable minimum salary punt play against the poor defense of the Tar Heels. He has not been flashy, but has managed to play over 23 minutes in six straight while reaching double figure fantasy points in all but one of those games. At the minimum salary he will allow you to fit in several other studs and not be a complete burn of a roster position. Silas Melson and Nate Britt are two other options at minimum salary that could pay off their price here.

CBB DFS Forwards to Target on FanDuel

Top Play: Kyle Wiltjer ($7,800)

As mentioned with Dranginis above, playing shooters against the Orange zone defense is always a solid idea. When that shooter is also the top scorer for a team and priced well below all of the other top forward plays, such as Wiltjer is, it makes for a spectacular play. He is limited in his upside due to a lock of defensive stats, but the Zags leading scorer has put up double digits in nine straight while also pulling in at least seven rebounds in seven of eight games. If he gets hot early he could blow his value out very easily in a half. The only other forward option to consider spending up on is Brice Johnson who has a massive price tag but a similarly high upside.

Mid Tier: Vitto Brown ($5,700)

Much like the Virginia players, the Wisconsin team will see a boost in fantasy production due to the up-tempo style of their opponent. This should favor Brown who is one of the most consistent offensive options for the Badgers having scored in double figures in five of the last six games. Prior to last game where he saw 21 minutes, Brown had played 34, 35, 27, and 31 in his previous four so it should be expected he reaches those marks again. Notre Dame has big bodies inside, but Brown should be able to reach the 10 point and five rebound plateau with ease.

Value: O.G. Anunoby ($5,200)

Anunoby has flashed major upside for the Hoosiers this year, but has continued to get buried behind Thomas Bryant and Yogi Ferrell on the fantasy radar. The biggest reason for this is his inconsistency in minutes which has yo-yoed from a high of 27 to a low of 12 over the last six games. Despite that, Anunoby has managed to score over 20 fantasy points in three straight and has hit double figure fantasy points in five straight. He is a bit above the minimum, but in a fast paced game in which Indiana will need help down low it is not hard to see Anunoby having a huge game. The only other low end forwards to look at are the Virginia pair of Tobey and Wilkins who also see limited playing time in an up-tempo game.
